Turnsover but won't start on hot days
This is a tough one something like this should be handled with a diagnostic tool. Seeing that your temperature gauge is pined when the engine is cold, your temperature sender could be sending false readings back to the computer, although your engine is equipped with the separate temperature sender for the engine control module. I once repaired a problem with the ignition coil, it would fail when hot, and start working again when it cooled down. This solution is really shot in the dark, I would pick up a diagnostic reader, they're not that expensive. GOOD LUCK
Where is the speed sensor at on a chevy z71 1994 4x4 truck
I think you made a big mistake throttle body fuel injection that you removed is much much more superior to any carburetor that's on the market, what were you thinking. I imagine when you put the carburetor on you did not reattach the throttle positioning sensor. Your engine control module needs the information from your throttle positioning sensor. You might try to have the problem chip in your ECM reprogram. And what are you doing about a fuel pump, the carburetor runs on 5 to 7 pounds of pressure, your fuel pump spreading around 30 pounds, and the fuel regulator with in the throttle body. the best advice, is to reinstall the throttle body, before you cause a permanent damage to other systems on the vehicle.
It takes high rpm to shift my 91 chevy c1500 4x4
there is usually 2 component to this, all related to the transmission. First , loosen the kick down cable,If you cant figure how to loosen it, just disconnect it from the throttle body. then test drive to see a difference. IF still shifts very hard, you may have a "shift kit" installed. this was done when the tranny was rebuilt.. I personally install extremly hard shift kits in my vehicles, my 1992 gmc K 1500 X-cab will shift so hard it "BARKS" the tire, and slides the back end of the truck over 1 foot, it feels like the truck is going to break. I LOVE IT...
4L60E Transmission wont shift into 2nd or Overdrive
Check the fluid level. You may want to consider having the transmission flushed. (I recommend BG Products flush system.) Properly flushing the trans removes any varnish the may have built up causing erratic behavior.
Freeze plug replacement
There are freeze plugs in the Block usually under the exhaust manifolds where they are hard to see from top side and also there are freeze plugs in each head, which ones are leaking ? If you get the old one/ones you can replace with rubber expanding ones which don't have to be hammered in.
Won't shift out of 1st gear
could be losing line pressure inside the transmission , or the pressure solenoid could have fail or the shift solenoids failed. take it back to where they repaired the transmission cause there is something very wrong good luck.
Changing the oil changing unit
If you mean resetting the "oil change" reminder, turn key on(engine off) and depress gas pedal to floor 3 times within 5 seconds, reminder will flash for a few seconds and go off.
