1987 SS Monte Carlo stalls after running for

Could this be a fuel filter thats clogging or is it electrical such as an Electrictronic Ignition Control Module ? Wouldn't be a clogged fuel filter , wouldn't start any time ,even after sitting overnight . Morethen likely it's the ICM - ignition control module . But to make sure it's ignition related , run the vehicle till it stops then pull a plug wire an check for spark . No spark , ignition module .

Have a 1987 Monte Carlo SS that has had all the emissions sensors, mounting brackets, vacuum lines, and wiring removed. Would like to find diagrams and parts needed to put it back as designed by GM.

near impossible to get all the information you require as it would be on the factory build sheet closest you will get is a genuine workshop manual as it will show where the parts go , what they are called but as to parts numbers --no you may get some help if you talk with a service dealer spares department as they may print out the parts schematics for you which will give you part numbers and where they are located

MY 1987 CHEVY MONTE CARLO LS ENGINE RACES WHEN START IT UP.IT WON'T STOP TILL, MAYBE 7 0R 8 MINUTES

Two places to start. First clean the throttle body/carb. Brake clean and a tooth brush. Clean inside as best and deep as you can, clean the back of the throttle plate and were it seats the most. It will take a few seconds, start the car up and spray the cleaner in the throttle as you rev it up. Then after that, I would replace the engine coolant sensor.

I have a 1987 monte carlo with a 4.3L v6 it will crank but will not start. I have no power to ignition coil

No power going to the coil? It has to be a blown fuse.

Where can I find a picture of the fuse box for a 1987 Monte Carlo

I know a great library that has all manner of chilton repair manuals for those vintage cars, yeah, I think anything over 30 years old can be called vintage. perhaps you have a library near you,(if you can't 'google' it to find out )

How to remove the dashboard of 1987 g body

Drop the steering wheel and remove three bolts from the bottom of the dash. Two at opposite ends by each door and one at the bottom left of center (radio area). Remove the hvac controls, light switch, instrument cluster, glove box and the radio. If you have a passenger remote mirror remove that adjustment knob too. Some of the instrument controls could stay but I prefer to remove them (less things to unplug while holding the dash). At the defrost ducts on the top of the dash remove the four screws. Pull the unit back with two people slowly. At this time you will have to remove the wiring harness that is held into the top back side of the dash.I might have missed something small but that should get you there.
