you will have to get someone to rock the car back and forth while you shift out of park. If this does not work then you may have trouble with your brake-shift interlock. Be certain your brake lights work; as the interlock system is operated by the power from the brake lights. Check fuse if brake lights do not come on. Otherwise there is a shift lock over-ride button in your car-see your owners manual for location-usually next to shifter.

I'm not sure about the 4 x 4 problems I'm not very familiar with that but the strange noise from the rear axle that doesn't seem to affect anything sounds like a wheel bearing going bad I hope this helps good luck

Hi Dennis, it sounds to me like the thermostat may be stuck closed.

Should get it checked out by a pro as you could burn something out.

It is probably the blower control module, not your temperature switch - I would try replacing that.
