2003 Pontiac Montana - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
How do you remove the rear door handle on a Dodge Caravan
These are all wrong, you are on the right track. Sadly I don't have an answer because I'm here looking for an answer to the exact problem. I know the white long nut needs to come out but mine is also seized I've tried torque but nut just twists out of shape and wants to break. I've also used heat, I figured it would soften it up but anymore heat it would have melted or caught fire. Did a search for a tech tip but still have found no answers, only the exact same question with incorrect answers(for this particular issue with the long white plastic nut.) I'm guess I'll just cut off and buy another nylon nut.

2003 Pontiac Montana starter solenoid or relay location?
What exactly does it do when you turn the Key? Are there any dashboard lights staying on that normally go out when you turn the key to position 2?Does it do absolutely 'Nothing' with the dash lights staying on? Does it do nothing but the dash lights go off?Dash lights go off and you get a 'Clunk' noise?Absolutely nothing suggests security system or the actual ignition key/barrel. This often has a light on the dash shaped like a key. Nothing but the lights go off could be the starter solenoid. Lights of and a 'clunk' could possibly be the starter itself. The solenoid will be bolted directly to the starter motor. It's the smaller barrel shaped section on the side of the actual starter motor.

2003 Pontiac Montana won't start
Sounds like your new battery is flat. Try this. Sit someone in the car with the headlight on. Stand in front of the car and look at the headlights. Have the person in the car try to start it. When you hear the click, do the lights dim to a glow worm? If they do, your battery is flat. Whenever I get new batteries, I charge them overnight with a 6 amp charger.
Or when you reconnected the battery, the key wasn't in the ignition, and now your anti-theft is activated because it doesn't recognize the transponder in the key.

Brake lights quit working
Tail lights acting insane?
We had the same issue with our 2000 Pontiac Montana. Brake lights, turn signal lights, running lights, back-up lights and emergency flasher didn’t work at all or operated at random. The cause: poorly designed aluminum contacts on the tail light circuit board and wiring harness connector arced over and disintegrated with normal use.
Pull the tail lamp assembly, remove the electrical connector and look for burned contacts on the connector plug and the connector socket (they call this long plastic piece with the socket the circuit board: it includes the four bulb sockets. Replace the circuit board and the wiring connector.
You can DIY this job with basic auto mechanical/electrical skills and tools. The two circuit boards and the two connectors set me back $230 (2009 cost) for new parts. The electrical contacts on the factory replacement parts are improved.
I needed a T-30 torx driver to remove the tail light assembly (you need this to change out bulbs, too), wire cutters, wire strippers, electrical tape and an electrical lug crimper to do the job.

Flushing Cooling System. Am replacing thermostat
No matter what anyone says, Do NOT use conventional coolant. This system was designed for DexCool. As long as you don't run the engine while low on coolant, DexCool is still the best option. To do a complete flush you'll have to tap into the heater hoses...not that easy.

Waterleaking passenger floor all wet!!!
call any auto parts store to find exact location of heater core. yes you can bypass it, but you will have no heat inside of car, it needs to be replaced. to bypass just hook hoses from core together, without going through heater core.
