You'll need to get the computer scanned for trouble codes.Chances are there is a small leak in the EVAP system. Could be a valve or hose in addition to the gas cap.

Ya know First i never drive a car at 4ooo RPMS cant remember when but anyway.
Check the Intake Air tube the goes into the air cleaner and throttle body for cracks and cuts and being loose. Fuel Pressure have it checked while you are driving to make sure your noy loosing fuel pressure at the high Rs. Ignition System Factory Plugs and wires no fancy discount suppose to increase horsepower stuff
I change the fuel pump and still no fuel
You shouldn't need to change the fuel pump, but I would have it examined by a mechanic to determine whether or not the diesel has messed up your fuel pump.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

you can go to advance auto and use there scanner for free to clear the code its called an obd2 connection or when you disconnect your battery you can touch your black negative cable to your red positive cable that connects to the battery and it will completley drain everything and reset but warning you if your trying to get the car through emissions your gonna have to drive the car 50 or 100 miles after you disconnect the battery each time..
Intermittant hesitation and shaking sometimes from idle sometimes while cruising 2001 grand prix
loosen the 2 bolts about at the rear of the exhaust going to the catalytic converter and then try to start the car (highly recommended you wear ear plugs) if it fires up right away your caty is clogged. believe me i just went thru what you are going thru. i replaced everything but the motor. another thing to try is pull the fuse for the injectors. if the car fires up and dies or if its acting like its gettin too much fuel replace the fuel regulator on the fuel rail and then ream out the catalytic converter
