If it is a 2 wheel drive, should be pretty cheap. The drive shaft comes out, the seal comes out, and the install is reverse.You can check the cost of the part online for your area and whatever the labor rate is for your area, I would say 1 - 2 hrs.

check the caliper it may be hanging up also check the rubber brake hose sometimes they collapse or swell causing drag either way you probably need 2 calipers and new lines(hoses) along with pads.

Is the check engine light on ?High idle speed could be a vac leak or a problem with the throttle body.Its possible the same vac leak is causing the rich mixture if the map sensor is reading correctly. The computer would think you were accelerating.

The starter and the positive battery cable have fuseable link wires attached.

check battery terminals.

check the coolant and air temp sensors

Check instrument cluster resister or regulator could be a shorted bulb too

Check fuses, harnesses connections, wires and finally, headlight switch.
