1990 corsica cuts out after 15 minute then will not restart after 2 hours
sounds like an overheated ignition chip or pickup and maybe the computer..change the chip and pickup first they are less expensive to replace.. then find a computer at a towyard to replace yours(they can match the car type at the office of the towyard using the computer there..good luck..

1991 corsica coolant leaking out of by firewall
Let's hope the first fix is the right one!You should have two heater hoses running from the engine to the heater core, which you cannot see under the hood. Typically, the hoses are about 1 & 1/4 inch diameter, and black. That part ( the heater core) is inside, under the dashboard, sort of behind the glove box. The heater core is just on the other side of the firewall from the two hoses, which are usually "together" (means they are about an inch apart) where the hoses attach to the heater core through the firewall. If the problem is coolant ( you can tell by the color and/or taste), you likely have a heater hose that is old and cracked and leaking.Take a flashlight and look carefully, you should see sign of wetness around the ends of the heater hoses and maybe on the firewall. Those hoses usually last about 10 years before needing replacement. If you find one leaking, you should replace both of them, unless the other one has been changed recently. If you change them, you'll need to drain the radiator coolant and the hoses and collect the coolant for reuse or disposal.I would also put on new stainless-steel band clamps.Remember when you put it all back together, you will need to "burp" the air out by running the engine with the heater on full for about 10 minutes at a medium speed to get the water pump to pump accumulated air out.

What causes a car to start, idle fine and then cut out when accelerating
The
following are the general instructions on the start of diagnosing any
electronically controlled engine or transmission problem.
The
engine and the automatic transmission (transmission control is
only for automatics, engine is still computer controlled no matter
the transmission type) in this vehicle are computer controlled and in
most cases when a fault occurs a fault code is stored in the memory
of the computer control module. There are exception to this, such as
the Mass Airflow Meter and fuel pressure problems. What must be done
is to have all the basic testing done such as a scan of the system
for fault codes as well as a check with a live data scanner tool for
engine functions that are not within range of normal, a trained
technician is required to know what is correct and what isn't, then
based on careful diagnostics done from a factory repair manual the
correct part is replaced or the wiring repaired or the computer
replaced (known as the PCM or ECM,ECU), which is very rarely the
problem. Other basic checks must be done as well such as mechanical
problems with the engine as well as engine state of tune and mileage
on the engine. The transmission can have mechanical issues as well
such as no gear engagement at all or a failed pump or other pressure
related problems. Also engine mechanical problems can and do cause
many drive-ability related problem such as rough idle and other
symptoms.

Have you checked the fuse boxes for the affected fuses? There is one in the cab and one under the hood, refer to the owner's manual for fuse numbers and descriptions of what those fuses supply power to. If you don't have an owners manuals go
