Can't find turn signal clicker
When you tell us CLICKER, I'm assuming that you are talking about your FLASHER unit; for 1992 Chevrolet Corsica 2.2L SFI OHV 4cyl the Flasher is located in front seating area, driver side, under dash, mounted on driver side of steering column.
The Hazard Flasher is other inde?ndent unit.
Hope helps.
My air conditioner blows hot air
your system uses the old refrigerant type r-12 which is no longer available. you will have to get the system change overto the new refrigerant r-134a. it will cost loads of money.
Car wont' start
I don't have a Corsica, I have a 2003 Suburban but I have a similar problem. Every few months or if the car has been sitting for 12 hours and the fuel guage reads less than 1/2 the car will crank and start for a couple of seconds and then die. You can keep trying but it will not run for more than a second or two. If one hits the gas tank bottom then it will start okay. At other times the car will lose power and the engine will struggle to stay running. If that happens you have to turn off the engine and then hit the tank.
We tried replacing the fuel filter to no avail and other fixes would cost a lot more so I live with it and keep the tank at least half full.
One mechanic thought that something in the tank may be coating the fuel screen and the engine had to be shut off to release it. Our other guess is that a fuel line pressure regulator check valve gets stuck and banging the tank breaks it loose.
If your problem is similar then towing the car might have the same effect as hitting the tank. When you drive the car keep an eye on the fuel gauge. My Suburban's changes readings at times. It's possible that your car thinks it's out of fuel and shuts off the pump to protect it. If your engine dies and you are coasting and you can do so safely, hit the brakes hard. That may shake things enough to help.
I've been told I have a fuel pump going bad and that banging it is only a short reprieve but it's done this for 3 years now so I doubt it.
1992 Corsica starts fine, then will die
Do you get a check engine light.
The DIS module could be a problem.
Check the fuel injector resistance. Each injector should be about 12 OHMS. They are connected in pairs of three if its a six cylinder and all three should read about 4.3 OHMS. If not you have to replace the injectors.
If the car dies when you press the brake. The other thing could be the torque converter clutch is not operating correctly just disconnect the connector to the clutch you will lose some fuel efficiency but it should work.
Starts fine, runs fine, then dies and wont start
This sounds familiar. If your car runs fine and suddenly begins to "shudder" or shake when you're coming to a stop and then dies, you probably have a VERY common problem with Corsicas, which is a bad torque converter. There is a very simple and FREE solution for this though. Take the air filter housing off and unbolt the bottom part of it, removing it completely. Aways underneath that you'll see what looks like a "plug", with 4 wires going into it. Just grab the wires and tug hard. That unplugs the torque converter and your problem will be solved. Trust me.
BUT, if your car doesn't die as I described, then I wouldn't mess with the converter though.
The latch for the door on my '92 Corsica is stuck
You should be able to pull the handle and while holding the handle use a screwdriver to pop the latch back to a "open" position. If the latch does not release then it might be broken and stuck in that position. Just use the screw driver and insert it into the latch opening to simulate the latch hook. The try moving it back while holding the handle open. Hopefully this gets the latch back into position. You should also lubricate the latch with a small amount of white grease to keep the latch from sticking.
