1988 Chevy Blazer had 3 prong wire harness for gas tank new one has 4 how do I hook it up correctly

Hello. Your Chevy's fuel pump assembly color code wiring should be grey (power) black (ground) purple (fuel level) and orange (low fuel warning). To check, attain a 12 volt test light and probe the wires one by one as an assistant turns the switch on and off without engaging the starter. Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.

Hard starting after warming up and Driving

sounds like a bad ignition control module..since you said a 2.8; it sounds like a GM product; when they start to get age on them; the heat starts to affect them..sometimes until they cool off a car will act like it has no battery in the car at all. Check to see if the module is the problem; depending where the location of the module is; you could probably do this yourself; but make sure the cables are off the battery before you try anything electrial

Check engine light flashes constantly on full size blazer (V-8).

That autozone person cost you a lot of money and time. Don't listen to them, if they were mechanics they would find a mechanic's job. They are trained to run the store and sell stuff. What they know about mechanics is what they learned on their own. Okay to listen to their advice, but take it with caution- they may be just as reliable as someone off the street. All mechanics know the trouble codes do not give you license to start replacing parts. They point you in the direction of the problem, but you have to use judgement and experience from there. You need to go to a shop with qualified mechanics. Or post the codes and take advice from the internet-they can't be any worse than Autozone. Lots of ASE certified mechanics online, not me, but others. I'm just a shadetree mech, self-learned, I only give advice when I think it might be helpful.

When i fuel up 88 blazer, there is pressure

the pressure in the fuel tanks supposed to be there, your fuel pump,,,pumps 180lbs of pressure to the engine all the time.your engine requires it. so if you do not hear that pressure when you remove the gas cap,you do have a problem. but it does sound like you have a possible fuel injector or maybe 2 fuel injectors clogging.simple to give you solution.add lucas fuel injector cleaner to your fuel tank.a clogged fuel injector will seem like an engine misfire also, just because fuel bulds in the cylinder at times, then the spark plug fires and then BOOM the engine misses while in motion. sound familiar? the lucas costs $5.00 and will treat 25 gallons of fuel. try this, and please let me know if this helps!!

When driving is get sluggish

sounds like clogged or clogging fuel injectors, sorry for delay in the answer in your problem, been busy w/other issue . suggest easy solution to your problem, purchase lucas fuel injector cleaner, add to your fuel tank. cost $5.00 treats 20 gallons of fuel. just add the ammount that you need. follow the directions on the bottle, you can purchase at auto zone or advance automotive if need be to clear up the sputtering problem. note' there will always be hissing from the gas cap[normal] due to pressure from your fuel pump,it pumps around 180lbs of pressure to the fuel rail that operates your engine the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail;regulates the pressure to your injectors, that's what makes your engine run so smoothly.

1988 s15 jimmy starts fine but stalls out

Stalls out when and how? At start up would be security. Do a reset. Turn it on, let it set for 10 minutes off or 30 seconds. Then try to start. relearn is do this three times with out the start up. After three times try to start. 4.3 engines have a problem with distributors also. the gear is junk. Though I haven't seen then to kill the engine, it wouldn't surprise me. Need to know when it stalls..

How can i check to see if i am getting power tofuel pump relay in my 88 k5 Blazer

With a test light or voltmeter. One terminal at the relay would be hot at all times, if I am not mistaken. Or it might need key on to check for power. When key is turned on, there should also be a brief (2 seconds) signal at relay from computer to turn pump on and prime the system, but that signal will stop , and the power feed at relay would still be on.
