It depends on where the noise is coming from. Could be any engine part such as a valve, piston, or flywheel plate.

Are all the lug nuts tight? That would account for that sound. If they're loose you could lose a wheel in heavy traffic on the highway. Please get someone to help you with this, Debi.

u may have parasitic load what that is when like somethin on the car stays on even if u shut everything off causing to drain the battery

Does it restart after it cools a little bit? If so, it may be a bad ignition control module. On this vehicle, I believe it is located on the lower front of the engine. If you're not sure of it's exact location, you can trace where your spark plugs wires go. They lead to the coils, which are mounted to the ignition module.

You need to put a diagnostic device on it to read the codes. There is a reason for the light coming on and it could be serious. You can buy the OBD2 devices from eBay fairly cheaply and then use Google to search for the error code/s associated with your vehicle. Doing this will help you to narrow down, more precisely, the problem with your vehicle. If you need to get the vehicle diagnosed in a hurry then taking it to an automotive technician would be a better option. Assuming that you are able to get the vehicle there, and the technician isn't too busy, then they could tell you within a few minutes what the codes are and tell you what may be the cause. until you know where to look, you could be throwing money at your cat without solving the problem, or its cause.

Please move set twilight slide bar to the middle. It's too sensitive and will do weird things like blink headlamps, tail lights, etc. It's a GM defect but moving the slide bar twilight switch should fix it. Good Luck.

the 3800 v6 motors have the reservoir on the power steering pump - if looking at motor drive belt - alt on top of motor back toward windshield - p/s is at bottom of motor toward windshield - lean over motor or slide arm down around alt. - when not running and not hot - unscrew cap - funnel will be needed if fluid is low

I had one in my shop last week doing the same thing. When you try to give more gas it slows down. The problem with the one I had was a plugged converter.

Check your oil level in your engine, may have a valve tappet. check your fan/ timing belts for damage. Add & or replace if needed.

When I had my Buick we had problems similar to this and we just went to the auto wreckers and pulled one out of another car and replaced it and then it seemed to be fine. It's relatively easy to replace and a cheap fix, the unit cost us around $10 at the auto wreckers.

Fuel injection fluid basically cleans carbon (soot) and soot/oily buildup from the injector tips where they squirt gas. There are hundreds of brands on the market. I do know of a few that are great.

also have your fuel pressure checked.

have your tech check your transmission as well as your catalytic converters which may be clogged from age.
