No lubrication to the cam shaft engine very noisy Jetta 2004 1.8 turbo

Don't run the engine unnecessarily. Carry out an oil pressure test. If the pressure is low - get it fixed. If the pressure is normal/high there is a blockage in the oil feed to the cylinder head...

2013 VW Jetta SE 2.5 when its hot (100 degrees+) when idling, push on accelerator and nothing happens, engine does not rev, car stays on. Runs great when cool outside.

Try this. Find the ambient temperature sensor. The one that reads the outside air temperature. Put an ice pack around it and try turning it back on and hot the accelerator. The sensors are usually around the front of the vehicle.

2014 VW Jetta cranks but won't start?

What have you done as far as a diagnosis? Have you checked for any codes in the ECM? Have you checked for spark? Have you checked correct timing? Checked for fuel pressure?

My AC is blowing hot air and my ac clutch is off!! I have a 2014 VW Jetta S. There's no freon getting in there at all and I don't know the AC fuse slot or the AC relay i need help!!

Have you checked power to the A/C compressor? Are your fans working when you turn the A/C on? Have you checked for any leaks on the A/C lines that are in the engine compartment? The relay could be in the engine compartment or under the dashboard, driver side.

2003 vw jetta turns over wont start

Could be fuel pump problem or no spark. You can check the spark by taking one of the plugs out and seeing if there is a spark while the engine is turning over. If there is, it's probably a fuel pump or fuel filter problem.

Hi there I have a 2011 Jetta TDI with engine light on showing error codes 11174-M.S and 06744-M.S. Could you please tell me what theses codes mean?

first, where are you getting these error codes from? a Google search finds nothing. they should be standard OBD codes. second, other than CEL, what symptoms is the vehicle exhibiting? third, check these websites for reference: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Category:Fault_Codes http://www.bentleypublishers.com/tech/vw/vw.dtc.table.htm From model year 1996, vehicles manufactured for the North American market are equipped with a Government required diagnostic system known as On-Board Diagnostics II (OBD II). This system monitors operation and function of all engine management system activity and automatic transmission operation to insure compliance with specified emission levels. Vehicle emission levels are constantly monitored by the OBD II system and malfunctions are recognized and recorded. A Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) in the instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault and the need to have the system checked for fault codes. These codes follow a standard format and are known as Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). DTCs are assigned two codes. The first code is a numerical code assigned by the factory. The second code is referred to as a P-code and follows a structure required by law and defined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). This standard uses a letter to designate the system and four numbers to further identify and detail the malfunction as listed below. First digit structure is as follows:
  • Pxxxx for powertrain
  • Bxxxx for body
  • Cxxxx for chassis
  • Uxxxx for future systems
Second digit structure is:
  • P0xxx Government required codes
  • P1xxx Manufacturer codes for additional emission system function; not required but reported to the government
Third digit structure is:
  • Px1xx measurement of air and fuel
  • Px2xx measurement of air and fuel
  • Px3xx ignition system
  • Px4xx additional emission control
  • Px5xx speed and idle regulation
  • Px6xx computer and output signals
  • Px7xx transmission
  • Px8xx transmission
  • Px9xx control modules, input and output signals
The fourth and fifth digits designate the individual components and systems.

I have a 2007 vw jetta 2.5 and I'm looking for the output speed sensor location

Which speed sensor? There are two or three. One for the EEC transmission control function. Another for the speedometer. They are all connectors on the top or side of the transmission. http://www.fixya.com/cars/t27237258-location_output_speed_sensor_2007_vw Beware that there may be more than one sensor.

2013 Jetta Hybrid shows a Hybrid Malfunction alert. After opening the gas tank and closing it the Hybrid Malfunction notification went away and the check engine light came on. Any ideas on this issue?

Got to Auto Parts store and they should - for FREE - check the codes. Or buy an OBD2 / OBDII scanner for $20 @ Walmart and check it yourself. 'We' must know the code(s) to assist. Good luck.
