Vehicle idle's fine but when

Sounds like it might be caused by low fuel pressure to the injectors. Maybe the fuel filter needs to be replaced. If that doesn't help, then it might also be the electric fuel pump in the gas tank.

My 1998 gmc sonoma pick-up truck leaks power

It could very well be the seal. You need to try to see if you can pinpoint the leak. Being that it is a 98, I would say the seal is wore. I had the same problem in a S-10 I had. Went to the junk yard and got the whole piece. They are not that hard to change. It could be the hose leaking, so try to retrace everything. More then likely, a seal goes before the hose. Check all endings. If you have anymore questions, feel free to contact us. We are here to help in anyway we can. Thank you very much for choosing FixYa.

Where is the location of the fuel filter,my truck

I hope you have found the fuel filter by now, but if not....look up under the bed, on the passenger side. It should be about halfway between the seat and the rear wheel. There is also a "strainer" in the fuel tank itself.

Hope this helps!

My 1998 gmc sonoma wont start when cold. fuel

A VERY COMMON CAUSE OF THAT IS THE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR, YOU WILL NEED TO VERIFY PROPER OPERATION WITH A LIVE DATA SCANNER, BEFORE U TURN IT ON IN MORNINGS OR COLD, COLD ENGINE LOOK FOR CTS READING IT MAY READ -40 DEGREES, IF SO THEN SENSOR IS MALFUNCTIONING, BUT WILL NOT SET A "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" LAMP WARNING. OTHER WAY TO CHECK IS TO DISCONNECT SENSOR, I AM ASSUMING THAT WEATHER IS ABOVE 20 DEGREES. LET ME KNOW IF THIS HELPS, CAN ASSIST YOU FURTHER WITH UPDATES

Vacuum hose came undone and cant find where it

I think that it is not a vacuum hose
most all trans went electric shift in 1995
if the hose is coming from the tran check and see if it goes to the top of the tran
and it will go from rubber line to metal tube
I think your looking at the tran vent
and does not hook to the motor
get back to me if that's what it is
leave some feedback
good luck

98 sonoma 4x4 ,4.3 vortec. won't start.

My 98 sonoma would not start if humid and about 70F. There was also no fire when acting up. Finally found a bad connection on the hall pickup sensor from the distributor. I put ox-guard on the connector pins and plugged it back in - no problems. Took about 2 years and $500 in wasted repairs to find this. Good Luck!

My truck is poping out the intake an the ex the

Hello! To avoid spending money on parts that are not bad, I'll need to eliminate a few common failure areas...The main code we need to look at is the P0102...The Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor sits in between the air cleaner outlet and the Throttle Body Inlet...disconnect its connector and remove it...carefully clean it with rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle...air dry...Check the throttle body inlet for carbon build up...clean with throttle body cleaner if necessary...Install MAF and reconnect...Replace the PCV valve...

Do not start the engine...Bolted to the throttle body is the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor...It has a three wire connector...wire colors are...Light green...Gray...And Black...Using two safety pins...Push one pin into the rear of the in-place connector into the Light Green wire and the other into the Black wire...Set the meter to read 5 volts...Connect the + meter probe to the Light Green and the - probe to the Black...Turn the key to the ON position...Meter should read 4 volts...If it does not the MAP sensor is defective...

Once we can establish that the MAF, and throttle body inlet are clean... PCV and the MAP are functioning...and there is still a problem I will narrow down to a component...Please include any and all information about the vehicle's state of tune...Guru...saailer I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/david_6df67de3b14de867
