Theft problems repeair in gmc
with stereos you should be able to call a chevy dealer and find out how to release the code that made the truck lock
The battery light is flickering on and off on the
The regulator in the alternator is most likely the problem.
The alternator could be charging.......just not correctly....... the flickering headlights are showing a varying voltage.......and with the charging light flickering too..........99% chance you need a complete rebuilt alternator.
2000 acura 3.5 rl collant temperature sensor
If the question on the 2000 acura is where to find the sensor, you have to take the silver acura plate off (3 screws) and it sits on top next to the big radiator hose. Easy to get to, should cost around $40. But if your temperature gauge on the dash is not moving it's probably the thermostat.
Never has enough battery power to start
If the engine is turning over, making a wa-wa-wa sound, then the battery is doing its job and there is another starting problem. If the engine will NOT turn over at all, turn key and no engine movement, then the starter is not working.
1998 GMC Sierra radio and display stays on all the time
First of all...does your truck have the retained accessory power (RAP)? If it does, the radio would always stay on with the key off until you open the drivers door. If it does have RAP and the door pin on the drivers door has went bad, then the truck doesn't know that you opened the door and continues to allow accessory power (although it would still cut off after about 20 minutes). If the interior lights come on when you open the door, then the pin is ok. If the lights come on, it could be the RAP relay. If it has gone bad, it is possible it is stuck supplying power and needs replacing. The relay should be labeled in the fuse panel, and there should be other relays in the panel with the same part number. You can swap a relay for the RAP relay and see if it fixes the problem...if it does fix it swap the relays back and replace the RAP relay. If the truck doesn't have RAP then it is possible the problem is in the radio..if you have a friend with a GM car or truck close to the same year you could swap radios and see if that fixes your problem...should be pretty simple. pull the cover off the dash, it just clips on, take out a couple screws that hold in the radio, unplug it and plug in the other radio. sorry so long winded...hope this helps you somewhat.
Truck starts and then stop, gauges are frozen
Start with the easiest solution and check the ground cable and the battery cable at the battery, don't just gently wiggle it try to move it with a little force. Also may try to just replace both cables if both are factory after being on the truck for that long they lose continuity especially the ground cable
Hitches when its strained, like going up a hill
Is there a check engine light? The most likely cause is your secondary ignition system components, plugs, wires, cap or rotor. An "old school" trick is to use a spray bottle with water and start spraying plug wires, cap rotor when running. Pay attention to the area you are spraying and notice if engine starts running rough. This will give you a pretty good idea where to check. This is a best guess without further information.
