I have a 94 GMC

Hello Rehayes83569, Just off-hand, since you contend that your sound system has a profound effect... I would skip past the BATTERY... (+ voltage regulator) and move quickly to your GROUNDING system...to VERIFY good clean connections throughout... More importantly... if you have any recent MECHANICAL or BODY-WORK... Very IMPORTANT ground straps are accidentally left disconnected... Typically your PRIMARY GROUND is to the engine block and BODY grounds (your trouble area) are strapped to various body elements from there... A detailed DIAGRAM on Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) are available FREE on BBB Industries WEB at BBB Industries Premium Alternators Starters Power Steering Products Registration is required (as these are real documents. Jumper CABLE: A simple test from major BODY BOLTS in your dash area to your GROUND post directly on the VEHICLE BATTERY ought to prove/disprove my theory. Hope this helps. Carnac the Magnificent

Failed pcm causes lifter and cam failure

First I think you need to take your car to a different shop and get a second opinion. It's hard for me to see a cam failure unless you abuse your vehicle.

If the light was on and then went off, the code will still be stored in the computer. Getting the codes read is always the first step to avoid guessing. Also, driving with a flashing check engine light is a great way to damage the catalytic converter...very expensive part.

I have an 1989 GMC Sierra K1500(4x4)5-speed. grinds when going...

It may be the transmission input shaft bushing or bearing, located in the rear of the engine crankshaft, in front of the clutch assembly. If the bushing or bearing is dry (needs to be greased), the input shaft will still try to turn with the engine rpm, even though the clutch pedal is depressed. Also, the clutch disc may not be fully releasing, which could possibly be corrected by adjusting the clutch pedal linkage. good luck

1999 GMC Sierra a/c clutch replacement

Sounds like it is more likely the high pressure switch on the accumulator acting up (a common issue with older vehicles). To verify this, try putting 12v on the clutch with a jumper (but only for a few seconds each time) to see if it engages. If it is the pressure switch, you may have to replace it and the schrader valves as well. If the problem is an electrical connection in the clutch, yes, it can be replaced without removing the compressor but that must be done very carefully.

Low oil pressure on 08 gmc seirra

With fuel injection if the pressure goes to low the fuel pump will stop and the lifters will get noisy. If you are seeing 10 lbs hot at idle I wouldn't worry to much. If you have a high mileage vehicle and live in a warm climate,go for 20w50 oil at your next oil change, some use straight 40w oil to help oil pressure on worn engines.
