Fuel filter location Sierra

I have been told by a mechanic that the fuel filter is inside the fuel tank. Have to either drop the tank or remove the pickup bed. Access is on the top of the tank. This is poor engineering.

No left turn/brake light for trailer

In the Uk nearlly all trailor socket wiring is done from the rear light wiring of the towing vehicle so I suggest checking the wiring back from the trailor connection socket and also socket, it could be a broken or cut wire. Also will probably find your vehicle a control unit fitted the trailor socket which could also the problem. Find the pin outs for your turn signal on the socket and connect a bulb across this connection and the common earth to check its not a fault on your tralior.

2005 gmc sierra Z71..driving down the road

This transmission is shifted by a computer via electric solenoids that open and close hydraulic fluid pressure passages when signaled by the computer control, so any kind of a problem with the external wiring harness to the valve body or the valve body wiring harness or the PCM (powertrain control module can cause this symptom. The most common cause of your particular problem is a damaged open or shorted shift solenoid, this causes the transmission to go into two gears at once, the computer senses this and shifts the transmission to neutral to stop any damage to the transmission.

2005 gmc sierra head lights brighten and dim while

This is caused by either a poor ground connection to the head lights or an overcharging condition taking place in the voltage regulator of the alternator, the spikes in output voltage causes the head lights to brighten up.

2005 gmc savana check engine light

The information below was complied by me, it explains what causes the check engine light to come on and the process of finding the cause.

When the Check Engine light (or Service Engine Soon or small picture of an engine) is turned on, the systems computer control unit (called the PCM) has sensed a fault in the electronic controls of the engine and/or the emission system. When this happens you will seldom feel the car engine run any different. There are about 200 possible system faults (the gas cap is just one of them) that turn the Check Engine light on, to know what has developed a problem you must have the system tested, this is called an OBD2 fault code test, Kragen/Oriley and Autozone parts stores (USA only) do this testing for free.

How to reset my 4wd light? I just installed my new

There is no such thing as a reset, if the light stays on a fault exists in the 4X4 control system, the control module has sensed that and turned the light on to alert you to the problem. It is likely that the power transfer case actuator motor is the problem or the wiring to it.

2005 GMC blows only cold air on drivers side

Sometimes the blend air door actuators get stuck. You can usually free them by "cycling" the temperature control. For instance, If you have the control on HOT but you are getting cold air, turn the control to COLD and wait about one minute, then turn it back HOT. If this does not work, then you probably have a bad actuator on that side.

Fortunately, the driver's side actuator is pretty easy to replace. Just look up under the dash on the driver's side. The actuator is attached to the bottom of the air box. You will have to remove the lower trim pnels to see it. (See #9 in the Picture)
