I am replacing the factory 7 pin trailer plug on my Ram, and am looking for the factory schematic so I can rewire my factory harness to a new 7 pin receptacle. Thanks!
all you need is a cheap continuity tester, any one to help tap on the brakes..7pin is just like the 4 pin w/extra power wire for acc.lites, electric brakes.when you buy the 7pin rec.,comes w/wiring schematic standard to all trailer rec.- you can do it..kev-mn.

1995 dakota fuel pump relay. If the relay is bad, will the coil still get spark ? The truck will run if gas is put in the carb. I ordered a relay to check first before a fuel pump job. Thanks for your time.
If fuel pump relay is bad yes it will still get spark.
Sonds like you do have a fuel pump, or fuel pump relay problem, most likely the pump.

symptoms of bad egr on 95 dodge dakota 318 5.2 ltr? Trying to troubleshoot problems with vehicle hesitation on acceleration, rough running, new 02 sensor no help, catcon not sure of. Starts, runs fine, then starts and don't run hardly at all. Not much power even when running smooth at idle.
when this occurs you need to check fuel pump presure ,see if it is below 20psi or so if it is the fuel pump is trying to go out

1995 dodge dakota 2wd 3.9 shortbed,i did a complete tuneup,& also replaced rotor & cap & sleeve, coil, truck seemed to stall when it got hot,now wont start at all,but turns fine & seems to want to start,it seems to get spark to the rotor only! but not to coil or the plugs,& the fuel pump is not sending gas,or working,i checked for fuses & relays & wires for current all seems to work excelllent, does anyone have a clue to help?
First of all let's explain how the spark gets to the plugs. There is a crankshaft position sensor and a cam sensor. They are what determines when to fire the coils and injectors. The crank sensor is located on the passenger side on top of the bellhousing, the cam sensor is the pickup plate in the distributor. As the engin turns the send refernece pulses to the computer which grounds and ungrounds the ignition coil causing it to discharge and send voltager from the secondary coil wire to the center tower in the distributor cap. The rotor button recieves the voltage and distributes it to the 6 towers (1 for each cylinder) If you say you're getting spark from the rotor that tells me the primary side of the ignition system is working, and the secondary side is working into the distributor cap. I'd check for spark out of the plug wires at the plugs. Pull a wire and insert a #2 phillips screwdriver into it, hol the shaft of the screwdriver aprox 1/8"(no more) from the exaust manifold and observe the spark as someone turns over the engine. You should see a nice blue spark. If theres spark, spray a little gum cutter in the throttle body an crank it, if it fires you have a fuel problem. Install a fuel pressure gauge on the schrader valve on the fuel rail and observe it as you crank it. If theres no fuel pressure maks sure there's fuel in the tank, if so climb underneath and beat on the bottom of the tank with a rubber hammer, the pump may be going bad, sometimes you can jar them and make them run.
