2001 GMC Jimmy misfire
most misfires are from injector problems /low fuel pressure problems
unless you can be more specific , clean/check injectors
check fuel pressure
check coil packs if individual coils
Sunroof wont open
Actually the motor isn't broken or it wouldn't click. The clicking you hear is either a broken cable between the motor and the gears that move the glass or stripped/broken gears either at the motor or the glass. Not ever having seen the sunroof guts of that particular car I can't say exactly what, but either the motor, gear pack or cable (or possibly all) will need replacing. It could be something just loose but don't count on it and even if it is the over head console has to be removed and possibly the headliner. That is car dependent. The only way you'll get an accurate price is to call some places local to you.
How do you adjust the shift cable on a 1995 gmc jimmy, wont go into reverse or park.
On the 1995 Jimmy, the shift cable can come loose on the mount on the side of the transmission where the cable meets the trans. When it slips, the alignment goes off and causes the driver to not be able to put the trans into park. If you take a long stick you can push the shift arm on the trans to the park position and your trans will go into park.....what you (and I) really need to know is how to take the shift cable mount apart and reset it.
2001. Why is right rear brake sticking?
what shape is the rotor in. is it built up with rust. is any caliper mountings bent how about the e-brakes are they hanging up causing the brake to not be fully off.
My radio has no sound 2000 gmc jimmy
Hello,I too had the same problem after installing an aftermarket cd player. The solution I found was one that's seemingly overlooked. If you have an aftermarket wiring harness (you know the plug to your factory connector and rewire using color codes to the new stereo) then do not neglect to connect the blue POWER ANTENNA wire. Even though these trucks do not have an power antenna it seems to turn on the bose power amplifier for your speakers to work. How did I find out? I asked the LORD what was I missing and he answered and told me the blue wire needs to be connected. I stripped it down and touched it together and presto my sound came in blasting. Acknowledge GOD in all our ways and he will direct our path. If you need further help, reach me via phone at
