How do you check the clearence from the starter to

That is not generally an issue, and I don't know how you could check clearance after the starter is bolted up.As long as you have the correct starter and the starter shims, if the old or original starter had shims, then the clearance should be right. You can check the starter drive gear that engages the flywheel-if it is worn badly, replace the drive gear, or the starter if you don't want to take the starter apart.

95 GMC Sierra 4x4 350 5.7 rough idle problem

It sounds like a MAP sensor going bad. MAP is short for manifold absolute pressure sensor, it senses the manifold pressure and applies the right amount of gas with the right amount of ignition timing so the car runs and performs well if this does not work properly. It throws off the whole loop cycle for the computer, which in turn makes it run badly and get poor fuel economy. It can causes the engine to have a lack of power, combined with a loss of fuel economy. Poor take offs and sometimes an occasional stalling may occur if the MAP sensor is faulty and sending the wrong signals to the ECM.
Hope this helps and thank you for using Fixya.

PossibleVibration cause placing lowering shackle

If you are talking about lowering the car by the use of shorter shackles then it is possible to get a vibration from the drive shaft of the car. What you are doing is lowering the gearbox extension housing in relation to the diff pinion and that alters the working angles of the tail shaft causing a harmonic vibration. After you have finished you work on the car have a tail shaft manufacturer check the angles as it may be necessary to roll the diff housing a few degrees or lift the rear engine mount a bit to correct that working angle.

95 Sierra 5.0 TBI Cranks but won't run. Wouldn't

Just a few ideas without knowing too much about whats going on. Check for spark first, then check to make sure you are getting gas to injectors. Coil pack or rotor could be bad. May be a stupid question, but is the battery good? If battery isn't putting out enough juice then it wouldn't be able to turn over the engine for long to start. Test it with a volt meter (should be around 13 volts) Hope this helps.

Trck turns off whenslowing downto a stop.

First eliminate all vacuum or air leaks in the system. You may have a bad IAC ( idle air control) but try cleaning the throttle body first. Remove the intake snorkel, have someone hold the throttle wide open for you and scrub the back side of the throttle plate and surrounding bore with an old tooth brush and some carb cleaner. Be sure to spray some into the small holes next to the throttle plate. That should help stabilize the idle. If it still has a problem, replace the IAC.

How to remove heater blower

I suppose that there is a number of ways, hammer, crow bar, explosives, but the best way would probably be to unbolt it and unplug the connector, that way you could still bolt a new one back in. It should be located in the heater box under the passenger side of the dash.
