Vibration in front end especially after 40 mph

Hi Randal: Odds are it will either be brakes, bearing, or drive shaft. You'll need to jack it up, make sure it is supported safely, and check the brake pads and rotors. Then check the drive shaft cv joint and the bearing. Cheers.

Can a bad deferential cause steering issue on 2002 envoy

I am assuming your mechanic was refering to the front differential and your vehicle is 4x4. If the vehicle is in 4x4 all the time you may notice a " hopping " feeling on corners from the front wheels. Otherwise, the differential should not cause steering issues. What type of problem is the vehicle experiencing that concerns you and would lead your mechanic to assess a bad diff?

Two codes coming up with check engine light. P0301 and P0014. The engine has a rock to it. Any help or insight as to what may be causing this is appreciated

PO301 is cylinder one misfire code,PO014 is a cam phaser code. That can be a variety of things:

• Check the following items:

? A loose CMP sensor causing a variance in the sensor signal

? A loose CKP sensor causing a variance in the sensor signal

? Excessive free play in the timing chain and gear assembly

? Debris or contamination interfering with the camshaft position actuator solenoid valve assembly

? Debris or contamination interfering with the camshaft position actuator assembly

Engine oil has a major impact upon the camshaft actuation system's responsiveness. Oil temperature, viscosity, and quality can

slow and/or inhibit the phaser's ability to reach a desired phase angle.

• An intermittent may be caused by any of the following conditions:

? A poor connection

? Rubbed through wire insulation ? A broken wire inside the insulation

How to replace gas cap

Step 1 - Determine Your Type of Gas Cap Before acquiring a new one, think about whether you need a gas cap that locks to prevent a gas thief from stealing your gas. But keep in mind, if you put one of these caps on your car, your spouse or children who put gas in your car will need the gas cap key. Step 2 - Remove the Cap Retention Ring When you actually replace your gas cap, you may need to remove a retention ring that keeps the cap attached to your car. If you do, you can remove it simply by using a pair of needle-nose pliers. Just slip one tip of those pliers under the ring edge; then close the pliers and pull the ring off the old cap and slip it over the new cap. Step 3 - Check the Warning Sensor Light Your car may have a sensor light that will illuminate when you change your cap. If so, drive your car a few miles to see if the light goes off. If it doesn't, see your repair mechanic to fix the problem

Ran my 02 envoy out of gas, after refueling started right up,went 3 blocks, died again just as before and now won't start at all. It turns over but no fire. We replaced cam and crank sensors-no go.help

Is there any fuel? Running a fuel injected vehicle out of gas is not good for the fuel pump as the gas is what is used to lubricate and cool the pump. If fuel pressure ok? Try banging on the tank with your fist while someone cranks the engine. If it starts or trys to start, suspect a bad fuel pump

Check fuse's in the rear fuse box. LR PARK fuse #14 10A - RR PARK #17 10A - Fuse Block - Rear Beneath the left rear seat An the park lamp relay #30 in same rear fuse box , Do you know what a BCM - body control module is ? The body control module (BCM) provides a ground or control circuit to the park lamp relay coil circuit. When the park lamps are turned on, the BCM energizes the park lamp relay. Current flow is from the park lamp relay to the individual park lamp circuit fuses and to their respective park, tail, marker, and license lamps. The front park and marker lamps are grounded at G107 and G103. The tail lamps are grounded at G401 and G402
