Yes it could be just the plugs wires and dist cap. I'm surprised the check engine light is not on because of the missing cat. Be sure and clear the codes after you replace the ignition parts.

Try spraying some starter sray in the breather and if it cranks, but only runs on the sray you may have a fuel or glow plug problem.

Yes, they will work, the problem is that the 1995 is a 95 ONLY so the parts (Valve Body) are not Interchangable

the cpu has found sensor/s that are outside set parameters. have the fault codes read and replace found faulty sensors.

It's worn out, replace it

Try a complete unit from scrappers complete with transponder and the chip from the key

Check your Tailight fuse to see if it's blown, if so then start checking for a bad bulb(shorted element) in tailight circuit boards . and also don't forget to check grounds as well, there should be one at rear frame by left (drivers Side) tailight connection/trailer harness connection. hope this helps. do your Brake lights Work ?

If you know what you doing about 2 hours taking your time

Do a compression check (motor hot Accelerator fully depressed) If you need starter fluid to start it indicates worn motor.

Unless the linkage is rusted or broken,your pulling the trans & taking it apart

Did you use a test light to diagnois problem ? check that you have power coming to brake switch from fuse and then see if it switdches over when you apply brake. sounds like it isn't adj. right if it won't come out of Park. I will tell you this...there is a 6way plug by steering column ,follow brake sw wires up to top of column and that is where the 6 way plug is, make sure this plug is plugged in tight and square, because if not you will be chasing the problem forever..brakes run through this plug, it is easiest seen by removing lower column close out to dash and metal bolster brkt behind it to get to plug.

sounds like a crankshaft sensor, has it been acting like this for awhile ? cause when the sensor mentioned goes completely bad , engine will not start..............................
