the FSM covers this. it states the exact temp.if it must come , in view of facts,(about 250F ,using a pyro gun)then it can only be these:with a volt meter this is childs play, got 12v to fan, . ?1: bad fan, (hot wire it, does it work, yes, skip to #1)2> wire to fan broken,. that means the connectors too.3: The relay that drives this fan is bad,4: the signal that drives the relay coil is dead.easy as 1,2,3,4 , you can do it in any order, and get the same answer. and is covered in USA 100% at alldata dot come.you never once hinted at location.... sadly.

fascia 2 relay 18 (if it is diesel) relay 10 (diesel again) and this could likely be the best candidate relay 4 fuel pump relay/glow plug relay

Now for the fuse box locations ... looking from the front of the car... the engine compartment fuse box is on the left side up near the firewall.
fascia two is the lowest of the two fuse panels on the drivers side under the dash to the right of the steering column (left if it was a right hand drive).

This took about 15 minutes to locate all the possible fuses, be that as it may if i missed it don't hesitate to ask me again.

Likely means a stuck thermostat, or possible a defective temperature sensor.

The light bulbs are probably dual element bulbs which would mean your night lights are separate from your brake and signal lights, even if they are in the same bulb. Replace the bulbs with new ones of the exact same type.

blue smoke out of 1.8 turbo its allways bad oil seal inside turbo.need new turbo or rebuild OEM. with 24 years experience working with vw never seen single headhasket go bad on 1.8 turbo engines.blue smoke its 100% turbo every time

Is it the appropriate fuse on that?

sounds like you may have a fuel problem you need to find out your fuel pressure i believe it should be around 45 lbs with key on if it is not then you probably have a bad fuel pump

Check the stoplight switch. Its a little switch tha connects to the brake pedal shaft under the dash (usually). It may be unplugged, stuck, or just went bad.

A burnt out bulb in you dash for that specific item on your dash will result in that light not coming on. If all the others are working and no running problems are present then I would focus on that first.

Thats a real pickle but you have to somehow get the door open without damage and remove the door panel and then replace mechanism controlling doorlock
