there is a vacuum hose under the intake that splits it is visible if you remove the plastic cover by the dipstick you will needa light if the car is started while you are looking you will hear the leak and it will be easier to pinpoint the hose you are lookin for is as big as your finger in diameter and tees near the engine block

The pedal side of the cable has a loop on it that hooks on to the top of the gas pedal. Take a flashlight and look up under the dash.
If you can't see well enough, a few screws taken out allows the lower panels to be removed, so that it is easier to see. Actually there is little reason to put these panels back in.

Why did you bleed the brakes to begin with? If it was because the pedal started dropping to the floor, and bleeding the brake system didn't fix the issue, you may have a bad seal in the master cylinder. Typically the best way to fix the problem is to replace the master cylinder with a rebuilt one. Good luck, hope this helps.

battery was improperly installed. ECM (electric control monotor)/(on-board computer) needs to be reset.

i used a hammer, adjustable spanner and a screwdriver and remeber the copper grease, make sure its lubricated properly while you've got the chance. its quite an easy job on the golf, but just take your time as i've heard people rushing it and not tightening something properly.

a)When you go to restart it does it die right after restart?
b)Does it die after you put it in gear after restart?
c)Doesn't restart at all?
Not sure if you changed fuel pump? If you did eliminate it from cast of characters.

If a & c engine main relay or fuel pump

Check to make sure you are connected to the proper terminals, and that the wiring has no faults from tach to the terminals.

You should stop driving the car because the leak is most likely petrol and not oil, so it could quite easy catch on fire. It sounds like your carb just needs a seal kit.

if it is a diesel, 15 w 40. gas engines take 10 w 30 in colder weather and around 10 w 40 in warmer weather. conventional or synthetic are up to you. if it is a diesel, ensure it is rated for diesel engines.

its a valve sticking or a coil breakdown

when u accelrate u will hear a slight "whistling" noise from the turbo charger.

I assume that you taling about the Ignition Switch; check this.

The pump is in the fuel tank. It can be accessed under the right side of the rear seat.


Disconnect the lines and wiring harness and turn the big black plastic locking nut counter clockwise till its loose. Pull the pump unit out straight up and reverse procedure to reinstall.

Loosen the tubes that connect to the injectors will give star to engine and diesel when it starts to get tight after you give the preheat and then start up the engine starts

there is no fuse to the coil.

There is no lever for the fuel filler flap. It locks via the central lock of the car & is unlock when you unlock the car. There will be a finger access to pull the door open or push the door in & it will spring out.
The locking mechanism does fail to work & the door will be locked shut.
The owners manual has a description of what to do if the lock fails.
The hinge can seize up & be stiff to open.

what kind of radio most of the times you can take of cover aroud the radio. you will find round or square holes to put in original tools to built out the radio.

is coolant level ok? feel hoses if they are hot( small hoses going to interior) also possible interior radiator stocked. good luck
