Did you check the ground?

It looks like your automatic gear need a repair. I am in doubt you can handle/fix it on your own.

I would do a compression test on each cylinder, sounds like a head gasket issue or a cracked head. I would say check intake but you have already addressed that, so next would be the head.

The furthest plug to the left, near the oil fill location.

Is it using it or loosing it? Have you a leak? If not then what is the usage level. If its high mileage engine then then a litre per 1000 miles isn't unusual but Mazda's are good normally so if its ever had the engine oil dangerously low then some wear could have happened that's blighted a normally good engine. Piston rings are usually the first to suffer. Then the oil consumption goes up. A compression test won't always guide you, because its the oil control rings that suffer.

Engines rarely idle at the same rpm all the time. Its normal for changes to occur, especially small ones. Too many variables that can effect such a small change to list. Its no an issue to worry about.

what did you do when you say flush the motor did you put oil in the spark plug holes, if so that's y lotes of smoke and no power... bro let me no if I can help....
