My 2001 Mazda tribute is having trouble cranking I
sounds like the battery is not holding a good charge. first get the battery checked out. if its good then then make that all required ground location for your tribute are good and not corroded and/or broken. if any grounds are not to your liking, repair and/or replace accordingly.

Are your brake lights working?
- No? It's either the fuse for your brake light circuit, or the brake light switch at the pedal.
- Yes? In that case, the interlock solenoid is stuck in position, has burned out, or has become disconnected.
How to charge a.c. at home
You may be able to add refrigerant with a do-it-yourself kit but you may do more damage than good. Without gauges and proper training you may add air with the refrigerant or may overcharge the system. This could cause high head pressure which could damage the compressor and increase the horsepower needed to drive it = gas milage. Air added includes humidity and water combines with the refrigerant to make acid which eats away at the insides of the system.
Best bet: leave it to the experts..
Belt diagram replace
You have to support the engine, push it up a half inch. Use a 2x4 block over the jack. The remove the right engine support.
