How do i fix misfires on a 2001 mazda mpv

misfires can be from electrics( HT leads -plugs -coil/s ) and also be from injectors ( low fuel pressure --dirty injectors -pulse problems --electronic). Run the codes to find if it is a random problem or a specific cylinder misfiring to point you in the right direction.

Where is the transmission fluid temperature sensor on a mazda mpv 2001

don't know if your vehicle even has a trans temp sensor. if it did it would be located internally inside the trans pan in valve body. check your trans fluid level, color, and smell. worn trans fluid will cause trans shift issues. burned trans fluid is an indication your clutches are burning and slipping.

Mazda MPV 2001, code P1518 , and P1512, what is

After extensive searching and trial and error I found that the cause for the code 1518 on my mazda mpv was caused by the plastic clip that holds the linkage for the intake manifold runner had broke on the fire wall side and the linkage fell out causing the runner to stay open. It is very difficult to see. It is on the front( drivers side) of the engine below the upper intake manifold. Remove the air cleaner box and use a mirror and you can see it. Only about 6 inches long. Replace both clips while you are in there because it is a bear to get to. Check this first before you go through the other items like the egr. Inexpensive repair and my code 1518 and the one for randon miss fire went away never to return. Lots of power again. Good luck. Jim

Rear area of mpv receives cold air but not heat.

That is usually a blend door problem. One of the doors is stuck in the cold position only. Happens a lot after a battery disconnect. Replace the rear blend door and that should solve your problem.

Water leaking in floor board when a/c on in mazda mpv 2001

You probably have a plugged drain outlet for your under dash heater/AC unit....system is designed to drain moisture from AC evaporator core via the drain outlet...drain outlet is located under the hood Thru the firewall and is a (approx) 1/2" dia rigid plastic tube. Sticks thru, toward the rear of the engine, about 1". It's located so that it spills (nice!) onto the most rear engine/tranny mount. There's evident rust to prove it. Try to remove it and the water should pour out . Try to locate the drain by looking where the arrows are pointing to on the pictures I am supplying 1d4363cf-13f8-4af3-a2b2-ecb08cfd6711.jpg 8b16ada2-2a73-4695-b050-f5e63bc38830.jpg

Where is ignition coil E located on a 2001 Mazda tribute

Standing in front of the vehicle, looking at the vehicle. Ford is 1,2,3,4 on the left and 5. 6.7.8. on the right. Front to back. a,b,c,d on the left, e,f,g,h on the right. So E would be on the drivers side , first cylinder. If the coil is hitting, then look to the spark plug first, also the boot, then the injector and wiring.
