ok the fun part,you'll need to crawl through back seat opening with flash light and you will be able to release it with a pocket screw driver ,oh did you try key in key hole ,if it don't work the way i said is easiest some cars do put a emergency pull on the left or right side of truck area behind carpet like i said some car makers do.good luck,mike

code p 0420 refers to cat converter system, bank 1 --efficiency below threshold ====causes ---cat converter faulty( probably blocking the exhaust system) wiring--- HO2S faulty ( heated oxygen sensor in the exhaust manifold on bank 1 ( closest to the firewall)

Probably just as easy to repair the fault than to disconnect or remove the alarm, which could be just plugged into the fuse box or more likely buried in the dashboard to discourage people from disconnecting it. The alarm is generally switched off by a switch built into the seatbelt stalk. The presence of wires will verify this. The wires might have been damaged or become unplugged or the switch stopped working. Lots of dust and stuff finds its way down there. I suggest you take care not to confuse any wiring for seatbelt pretensioners.

Use paper towels and surround the switch. With the ignition off soak down the switch with WD-40 and work the switch back and forth firmly and quickly. This will clean the switch contacts.

This something I would leave to a specialist. It is easy enough to pull the drive lines and separate the Transfer case from the Transmission but you need to know what you are doing to dig around inside.

do a history check on the engine as the belt may have been change earlier without being recorded If it is the original belt, a change is recommended any way along with all idler pulleys , oil seal and hydraulic tensioner

they make a special tool for that job. i know that sound nut but they do. some foreign auto parts store maybe able to help, i use to be bap import parts, look up foreignautoparts, city and state, zip. look into it, it maybe dealer tool you could look and ask the local auto part store, tool shack, sears tools may have it tool truck also have it.

It sounds like your alternator is about to go out.

Shorted a fuse while installing starter. Check your fuses. Next time disconnect battery when doing electrical work.

Maybe your serpentine belt is slipping or gone. Not sure if the water pump runs off the same belt as the alternator on this model.
