Blower motor not working
I had a similar problem with my Jimmy and it turned out to be the switch on the dash. But the easiest way to rule out the blower motor is to apply 12 volts directly to the blower motor itself, if that works move to testing the switch.
Washer fluid not spraying
Yes, the motor is probably on the bottom of the washer reservoir. It should be on a fused circuit, but the fuse might have other applications, might even be on the wiper fuse. Pull off the connector to the washer motor and check for power with key on and washer switch held on. If power is getting to motor, probably a bad motor. Try one from a salvage yard.
96 Jimmy runs better in cold weather than warm
Hi Buc, have a look at all the intake manifold ducting and make sure nothing is broken and leaking air. Also make sure that all vacuum hoses are fitted tight and correctly and they are not loose, broken or cracked. It will be better to check each by disconnecting, checking and refitting. Let me know how you get on. Have a happy new year. Regards John
My 98 gmc jimmy will not shift out of park
possibly the neutral safety switch connected to the brake pedal is bad. when you apply foot to brake , shouls hear a click with key in run position, this would be the safety solenoid retracting itself from shift linkage, allowing shift lever to move. try pumping rapidly, but easily the brake pedal to see if you can hear click, and or shift from park.
