To release a parking brake- Somewhere along the e-brake cable there will be an adjustment mechanism. It won't allow a lot of adjustment but it is possible. Could be CV joint or tie rod.

First anytime you do any electrical work on ur car disconect the battery cable until ur finished.Then you wont have to worry about causing any shorts or blowing other fuses etc.I dont see how the alternater has anything to to with ur turn signal.It keeps the battery charged when u use lights radio etc. You did not say if its one turn signal or all turn signals that dont work. It could be a bulb.One bad bulb will cause the others not to work , normally one side of the car.Mostly left and right sides of the car is on a different circuits.If it is all of them not working , it could be the switch in ur steering colum thats bad.Its the switch that the handle u move to turn the turn signals on and off.You would normallytake off the steering wheel to fix that switch.But its a bigger jpb , a pain.So make sure its not a bulb or a fuse first and make sure ur useing the right amp fuse.If its not that.Then id check the conection where the bulb screws into the socket.There can be corrosion there and that can cause a bad conection.Besides a bad bulb thats always been the number one reason my turn signals have not worked.You just have to keep eliminating the possibilities. you need the distributer for the car to run.

You can try disconnecting the battery cable then try to openit with the key There is an electrical switch they call it the actuator its inside the tailgate trim panaland easy to replace This sounds likely to be what your problem is the switch may be shorted and in lock mode all the time

Hello,,on most GM trucks if the coolant isnt right up the heat is the first thing to go,if fairly cold out may want to add a winter front,this may also be a sign of a poor water pump but then your temp gauge should rise,does the heater blower work as it should may be the control head( switches) also have the dealer run your vin some vehicals in them years had filters installed in the heater and it sounds like its blowing but nothing coming out it could be a pluged or dirty filter,,good luck..

intake manifold will have fire order on it.

look for vacuum leaks in the hoses on the emissins controls..some are heat activated

scan test for codes first. check data reading with scan tool.If coolant temp sensor reads -40 deg. yes it would be hard to start.
