Ignition timing for 2.5
Should be a sticker on the radiator support or the hood with the instructions.I think you have to put the ECM in test mode by going into trouble codes to put the timing at base to check it with a light.
Need audio wiring diagram
Hi jackiegre125,Just happened to stumble by your post. It just so happens that my specialty is automotive electric and electronics. I can provide the diagram you are asking for. The only problem is that I cannot post it here due to size constraints and copyright issues. However, I would be happy to get it to you if you would like to sign up for my Pro Services. Just click on my profile picture below and go to my FixYa profile page. Click the tab that says "Pro Services". When the page opens up, click any of the services listed. (It doesn't really matter which one - they will ALL connect you with me) Sign up for Email support. Be sure to include the Year, Make, Model, Engine Size, and a brief description of what we are trying to fix in your message (just so I don't mix you up with someone else). You can also do this by clicking any of my ads that you may see on FixYa.Thank you for using FixYa!-Dave (dttech)
Getting spark getting gas but will not start
If you have spark, the valves may not be working due to a break in the timing belt, chain, or gear. Some of these engines get a timing pulse from a Crankshaft sensor and it does not mean the Cam is turning. If your sparkplugs are easy to reach, you can try removing one to see if you have compression when the engine is turned over. If no compression, then the Cam most likely is not turning. If you have a Distributor and have spark, then check to see if the engine has fire to the coil in the RUN position.Your Ignition key has 2 positions which deliver spark, the Starting position and the RUN position. You can have spark when you crank, but can lose spark when you release the Key to the run position. You may also have insufficient fuel pressure although you have fuel. What you are seeing may be residual gas from before when the fuel pump circuit failed.Thats' all I have for now.
