I just bought a 2006 crown victoria police interceptor. the heater does not work. It is not leaking, it just will not blow hot air. the fan and everything works fine.
I would change the thermostat in the vehicle first and go from there. Hope this helps......Dan

I recently purchased this from a local municipal auction as a second vehicle. I notice that the steering has a good amount of play (about +/- an inch each way at a complete stop) in it. It's not so bad at lower speeds but seems to allow more at highway speeds. I am not sure what could be causing it. It is possible to be tie rod/ends or is it more likely the steering box? I'd appreciate any advice.
It is more likely tie rods, Ball-joints, Idler Arm, Or pitman arm.

turn signals on my 99 crown Victoria are not working, i tried the fuse all ready
If all other lights are working properly (brakes, hazards and tail lights) there is a good possibility that it is a flasher unit. The flasher unit is usually near or in the fuse block and is usually a small round about an inch in diameter - can be plastic or metal covered. Grasp it firmly and pull straight out on it. There are 2 contacts at a 90° angle that fit into the board. A new unit should be under $10. To reinstall it - just align the contacts with the slot and push it firmly back into place. On most vehicles the hazard flasher unit is the same device but a separate unit. If you turn on the hazard switch and those lights are working you will be able to hear a click as it turns on and off. Once installed - activate the turn signals with the key on to see if it clicks.

ford crown vic stuck in park
ok you can have a few things wrong. First have some one step on brake pedal see if brake lights come on. If not these vehicles were bad about the wires braking to the brake light switch. After check ing lights and you have found the are operating correctly, try turning igintion key cylinder to first notch just before dash lights come on, now see if you can shift out of park if so the shift interlock solienod on back of column is bad. Lastly if the sifter is really loose they are two 30 torx screws on the back of the column hold the bracket to the shift cable, if that comes off or loose you can not shift as well. Hope this helps if so please vote thank you
