the fan blower motor works most of the time, However there's times it doesn't work at all. fuse is ok. Right now it's not working at all . faint burning smell detected under hood. Relay? Blower motor? I'm Handy- could I change blower motor myself? Thank you
On ford vehicles the blower motor resistors are the most common problem when this happens.

My overdrive light started flashing after driving a few miles down the road and wont quit flashing, Trans fluid level is normal.Does anyone know why the overdrive light wont quit flashing? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Glenn
the OD light is flashing to let u know a fault has occurred in the transmission electronic controls or that it is slipping plus other issues, go to Kragen or Autozone and ask them to run a trouble code test, it is free, post the code back here for me to look at.

Where in a 1995 Ford Explorer would I find the ECM unit.
I need to know specifics not just either engine compartment or under dash. Where in those areas is the ECM unit?
Also, the local Ford Dealership service department tells me it's $86 to check it out. Are their cheaper alternatives?
Are other car repair places likely to have the capabilities to do this?
FTM is their something i could buy to check this out?
not sure what you mean by ECM. Here is info about the PCM
Section 03-14: Engine Controls, Electronic
1995 All Aerostar, Ranger, and Explorer Workshop Manual
DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
With the preprogrammed performance data and the information from vehicle sensors, the powertrain control module (PCM) (12A650) develops an adaptive strategy for operating the ignition, fuel, and EGR systems. The powertrain control module will also adjust the electronically controlled automatic transmission if equipped.
This adaptive strategy is maintained in the PCM memory by a small amount of current from the vehicle's battery when the ignition is OFF.
If the vehicle's battery is disconnected, there may be some abnormal driving symptoms until the powertrain control module relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.
This section contains two unique powertrain control module systems.
The EEC-IV system is used on Explorer and Aerostar vehicles.
The EEC-V system is used on the Ranger vehicles.
The EEC-IV powertrain control module receives data from various sensors:
The EEC-IV powertrain control module contains specific calibrations for optimizing emissions controls, fuel economy, and driveability. Based on information received and programmed into its memory, the processor sends signals to control various actuators:

where is the Schrader valve on a ford Explorer 1995 V6
I believe the schrader valve for checking your fuel pressure can be seen looking from the passenger side of the engine. It is on the fuel rail, which is installed between your lower and upper intake manifold sections, about the center of the fuel rail.
Hope helps (remember rated this) Good luck.

Car will turn over but won't start. Through the years I always replaced the fuel pump relay. Now I think it's either the power distrubition box or the fuel pump. I don't hear any noise when you turn on the key from the fuel pump.
No noise from fuel pump when you turn over the car .First thing get voltage at fuel pump relay checked, is there 12 volt to the relay. If no, then problem is again the relay.---------
To reconfirm the problem, try other test, that is remove the relay and by pass the relay terminals with a jumper wire .Then with 12 volt external battery give power to fuel pump connector and see, if the fuel pump starts, then its clear that fuel pump relay is faulty.----------- Also other problem can be fuel pump inertia switch. If the inertia switch is faulty then also fuel pump will not start.--------
The fuel pump relay on a 1995 Ford Explorer is in the power distribution
box, in the engine compartment, driver's side near the firewall.----------
The fuel pump inertia switch is in the right front passenger area
it is below the dash but above the carpet in the right hand corner.--------
Its a push button type inertia switch.
--------
Fuel Pump Activation
When ignition switch is turned to START position, PCM operates fuel pump relay to provide fuel for starting engine. PCM senses engine speed and shuts off fuel pump by opening ground circuit to fuel pump relay when engine stops or engine speed drops to less than 120 RPM. When ignition switch is in ON position, EEC power relay is energized (contacts closed). Power is provided to fuel pump relay and timer in PCM. Fuel pump receives power through fuel pump relay contacts.
Inertia Fuel Shutoff (IFS) Switch
All models use an electrical interrupt switch in fuel system. During a collision or vehicle rollover, electrical contacts within inertia switch open, shutting off fuel supply to electric fuel pump. Fuel supply is interrupted even when engine is running.
A reset button is located on switch assembly. If electrical circuit trips, vehicle will not restart until switch is reset. Fuel system should be inspected before resetting switch.
IFS switch is located under instrument panel, near right side of transmission hump.
-----------
If the fuel pump relay, the inertia switch and fuel pump all checked ok, and fuel pump is working with direct 12 volt source to fuel pump. Then problem relates to computer. The computer (power control module, PCM) is faulty and has to be replaced.---------
This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

wiring without jbl is different
Check fuel pressure. It could be a fuel filter, pump, or regulator..
