Where is the thermostat on and 2005 canyon 4
Your thermostat is accessed through the dr side wheel well. Jack and support vehicle, and remove fasteners attaching inner wheel well to body, and remove. You will then have a good veiw of the radiator inlet hose. Either drain the cooling system through the radiator drain ****, or just pull off the hose and catch as much as possible. After you remove the inlet hose, the water outlet(or thermostat housing that the hose connects to on the engine) comes off next. Should be two or three bolts securing it. Install your new thermostat the with the spring facing the engine, and reverse removal procedure. Refill coolant through resevoir, run engine to operating temp(two to three minutes at 2000 to 2500 rpm). Allow to cool and top off coolant as needed.

Where do i get good
Autozone guarantees thier brakes, you would probably want to get the mid to higher priced ceramic pads, they last longer. NAPA also sells a good quality pad selection.
My check engine light keeps on coming on and
The Check Engine light comes on when the ECU detects a problem with the emissions system. Rarely does it come on and then go off again. Make sure your gas cap is tight. Turn it until you hear it click 3 times. If that is not the problem then you need to have the ECU scanned with an OBD2 scan tool if the light comes on and stays on. If it just comes on intermittently then do nothing until it stays on all the time which it eventually will.
