4 cyl or V6 engine ?I think the 4 cyl is on the side of the block under the manifold.

In a nutshell... Take the intake manifold off and then you can access the fuel rail for removal.

the air intake for the heater system is at the base of the windshield. It sounds like you have a fuel line leak in the engine compartment. Look for wet spots at fuel line connections.

Theres is a way, you can do it with a scan tool or remove a battery connection for 5min, the check engine light can come on for many reasons, when the computer sees a problem with the engine sensors or trany that is out of specs it will turn on the light and store a codes in the computer, this codes will tell you what part of what system is failing, i would have the codes read to see what the problem is, this way you dont do any further damage, many autopart stores will scan the codes for free, i think you should get the code or codes and i will help you further, good luck and i hope this helps.

The 5 cyl engine looks like it is mounted on top of the exhaust manifold.

Basic definition is the computer found pressure or flow in the evap line when it should have been closed. The computer controls fumes from the gas tank by way of the canister and the control - check valves. You would need to pressure test the system for leaks and to see if one of the valves is open when it should be closed.

If the other windows work, probably the motor.

That's a misfire code, does the vehicle feel like its running rough? If not it may just be a bad batch of fuel or even time for a tune up depending on mileage.
