This depends on the engine code,but normally valves can collide with pistons, Time up the engine and put a belt on, remove spark plugs and turn the engine over by hand.if it turns over a couple of full revolutions without undue pressure I would then replace the plugs and try to start the engine, if it misfires or is noisy turn off immediately as internal damage has been likely to have been incurred, this will then require removal of the cylinder head, Regards Mike

freeze plug are located on the engine and head, they keep coolant in the motor..

the fault codes will have to be cleared using some kind of diagnostic machine and plugging it into the 16 diag connector that sits just below the radio at the bottom of the centre dash panel, hope this helps

Is the MIL on? Have it scanned for codes. It could be the crank sensor! I had a VW that only showed the crank sensor as a pending code.

try the mass air sensor.......
