How do I do a idle relearn on a 90 3.1l firebird
Most of those year GM motors re-learn the idle settings automatically when driving above 35 MPH...be sure to clean or replace the Idle Air Control Valve...very critical in smoothing out the Idle...Hope this helps.

have you replaced the fuel filter recently? when those et clogged it can cause similar issues. May be time for a tune up with plugs/wires/air fliter.
Ignition wiring
You will need a wiring diagram. You will find one in a Haynes repair manual for your car-about $25-30. You will also probably need it to help keep the car running. Were the wires cut?
I have a 1990 pontiac
I just looked at a wiring diagram for the year and make of your car and it shows a circuit breaker for the right and left side headlamp motors. This is probably be located inside you fuse panel. It will say HDLP #1 & #2. Ihop that this helps, if you need the wiring diagram I can email it to you.
