No it will not. Only a comparable engine from another mazda b2200 truck and I think the b2000 and possibly Miata, 2.2 engines were about the same from 1986-1993. You can pretty much count out just dropping in a motor from a different manufacturer for any make. Fords don't fit chevys, etc. etc., This would require you modify the entire drive train and quite possibly the electrical system, cooling system,etc. Definitely not worth the hassle involved.

trace upper radiator hose to where it connects to the engine. This is called the thermostat housing, Remove bolts holding the housing to access the thermostat. Put new thermostat in exactly the way the old one was positoned, add gasket, replace housing and hose.

your starter solenoid may be bad-sometimes you can tap the starter with a hammer and it will make it work until you can take it to autozone and have it tested-cheers Denny

its in the drivers side kick panel on the left corner... single relay by itself
