location of fuse box/panel for 2004 yukon denali xl

cigarette lighter, power outlet in front and console have gone out and need a fuse but can't find the fuse panel for my 2004 gmc yukon xl denali.

There are 2 fuse panels in the Denali.
One is a panel on the drivers side, its on the dash but facing the door.

The ohter is under the dash and above the pedals, this one is much tougher to access.

Your Owner's Manual should tell you where the fuses are that you need to access.

Service Ride Control has come on

I have a 2004 Yukon and the 'Service Ride Control' light has come on -- I've done what the manual states but it still is on -- what is the suspension system and what would need to be serviced?

The vehicle needs to be put on a scanner and checked. This system is too complex to check once you have checked the fuses are replaced or OK. Do your best to make a friend at the dealership and see if a tech is willing to give it a quick scan. The trouble codes will then point you to the problem. Only a dealer scanner will work. With the trouble code / problem diagnosis (i.e.C0660 exhaust valve circuit malfunction) we can help further.

There is no "freebie" for this one, however, if you go to www.alldata.com it's 25 or 26 for a year and will give you everything from bolts, nuts, wires, common problems, Technical Service Bullitins from GMC and specific to your vehicle. I use it for my Denali and it's well worth the money! It will show you every ground, every power, cpu, light bulb, and how to pull it apart and put it back together. Hope this helps

The car lurches at low speeds and is unable to maintain acceptable power on hills. I am thinking my fuel filter is clogged of the fuel pump is shot. I am hoping I don't have to pull the tank to fix the problem.

how to repalce a knock sensor

how to repalce a knock sensor on my 2004 gmc yukon

Hi welcom to fixya. A defective knock sensor may cause engine detonation or reduced spark advance and fuel economy. When a knock sensor is removed and replaced, the sensor must be tightened to its specified torque. If the knock sensor is installed tighter than it should be, it may become too sensitive and provide an excessively high voltage signal, resulting in more spark ****** than required. When the knock sensor is installed looser than it should be, the knock sensor signal will be lower than normal, resulting in engine detonation.
To replace the knock sensor:

  • Disconnect the knock sensor wiring connector.
  • Then, unscrew the sensor.
  • Remove the knock sensor.
  • Reverse the procedures to install the part.
  • 15 ft.lbs.torque
  • hope this helps.Thank You for using fixya..iluv2fish.. Ray..

Driver side power seat and both front heated seats

Driver side power seat and both front heated seats stopped working on our 2004 gmc Yukon denial. I know this should be a blown fuse but I don't know which one. I checked under the hood fuse box and the one on the left side of the dash. Can t find it! Help save me a trip to the dealer.

The underhood fuse block in the engine compartment on the driver's side of the vehicle near the battery. Lift the cover for access to the fuse/relay block. To remove fuses, hold the end of the fuse between your thumb and index finger and pull straight out.

You have the label...
* MBEC called Mid Bussed Electrical Center: Power Feed, Front Seats, Right Doors
* BLOWER for Front Climate Control Fan

Check it, its possible that this are blown.

where is the mass air flow sensor and the fuse?

where is the mass air flow sensor and the fuse?

Answer

The mass air flow sensor is in the main air duct slightly past the air box where the air filter it located Its clamped inside the duct so all of the air that comes through the duct from the air box has to pass through it. there is not fuse for it This sensor measures the amount of air entering the engine and sends a voltage signal to the VCM. The signal voltage increases when the amount of air passing through it increases . This gives the VCM information required to control the fuel delivery spark advance and EGR flow
