We installed new starter, but need the code to reset, can you help?

There is no code to reset after start replacement ! Where do you think you can input this code ,if there was one ? IF you replaced a starter for a no start condition an it still won't start you wasted your money ! What engine does yours have ? 2.2 ? (L61) or 3.4 L (la1) Circuit Description (L61) Moving the ignition switch to the START position sends a 12 V signal through the Park/Neutral Position Switch or Clutch Pedal Start Switch to the S terminal of the Starter Solenoid. Ground is supplied through the engine block. Circuit Description (LA1) Moving the ignition switch to the START position sends a 12 V to the PCM Ignition Crank Voltage Sense. At the same time a 12 V signal is sent through the PNP switch then through the coil side of the STARTER relay. The PCM verifies that all parameter a met for starting. The PCM then grounds the control circuit of the START relay. When the START relay is energized it allows voltage to the starter solenoid S terminal.

Turn indicator sound (ticking) continues after signal is cancelled. replaced flasher and sound continues.

Remove the signal lever (switch) clean the grease completely and lube again with di-electric grease.
This should solve your problem.

I have a 2004 grand am it turns over but its like its not getting gas. It runs with starting fluid I cleaned the fuel filter it had some black junk in it. I put new starter and plugs and coil pack.

When you first turn the key on do you hear the fuel pump turn on? If not, then the pump, which is in the tank, has likely seized. You can try banging the tank with a rubber mallet or a piece of wood to see if you can get the pump going temporarily.

Had to replace my battery, now I have a new battery and the car wont start, nothing. Cant even jump start it now. Almost like the starter is getting no juice, any ideas???

Hi Chris, there is a main fuse, usually it like big amps like close to 100 amps. depending on the make and model. It will be under the hood. what usual happens is the jumper cables are hooked up with reversed, but that doesn't matter. What matters is a 60 to 100 amp fuse that is blown, if its a older model it will have a bar fuse, new ones are sometimes solder in. The fuse will be blown, you should be able to see it visually. It should say battery main fuse more then likely its a 60, should be a pluck and chuck. Hope this helped Tim

Replaced motor used some electrical parts off old motor. car wont start, has fuel, spark etc. do we need to access the bcm and put new block numbers in to unlock security?

No. Do a reset. or relearn. Reset. turn the key on for 10 minutes, off for 30 seconds. Start the car. relearn is three times this. start the car after the third time. Have a charger on it.

2004 Pontiac Grand Am power door locks keep locking and unlocking while im driving. How do i check the relay?

The relays are in the Left side Instrument panel fuse block. The easiest way to check it is to swap with a known good relay. I would check the ground point to make sure it isn't loose. The info I see says the Ground is G201. That is number 2 in the picture. The other picture shows the door lock schematic and you see at the lower left the ground point of G201 25990544-yhnxf5i41hst0gw3rbs2lygx-3-0.jpg 25990544-yhnxf5i41hst0gw3rbs2lygx-3-2.jpg

How to disconnect retainers on cables at shifter

Some of these have a little "U" shaped clip that needs to be removed first. it slides into the cable end and holds the ears out to engage them in to the metal guide... if that is out all we ahve ever done is use a screw driver and pry it out.
