You have a vehicle with a computer inboard. Go and have a professional scan the computer for all the trouble codes that may be there..could be anything ranging from poor fuel, spark plugs, ignition leads or plugs, coils, air leak etc etc.....

The Expansion valve is located in the evaporator box On this year Nissan it's not to bad of a job. The dash doesn't need to be removed like the newer cars.

1. To replace the expansion valve, you will need to discharge the AC system. Remove the two AC lines from the evaporator.
2. Then you will need to remove the glove box
3. Then you will need to unbolt the evaporator box
4. Tip it back and remove.
5. Once you have the evaporator box removed, then you can replace the expansion valve. I would also clean the evaporator box as well since you will have it removed.

Could be ECU, but first check all connections for Sensors that feed data (voltage) to the Ecu. Bad corroded connections contribute to strange behavior.

A wild guess, the "bearing locking nut" device is not properly installed and the bearing nut has backed off. Torque on locking nut not high enough. Double check by jacking each side push in on top, pull on the bottom if there is any play it confirms my suspicions. If you did not get locking device with the new bearings (a special nut) you probably used the old nut with no way to "Lock" after you removed it. No lock is a dangerous situation! you could lose a wheel and cause an accident!

Some have a second secure bolt or nut to stop tensioner moving check for that then the belt should be loose when tightening be sure there is only half turn able on belt resecure the nut/bolt

I had the same problem with my 96 Nissan/ infinity g20.
If I turned on the ac the brake & battery lights came on, the AC fan would work but the air did not blow cold. Disconnected the battery for a few hours to reset the computer. That solved the problem.
Now, no lights, and the AC blows cold.
