1- check battery and see if the battery lights comes up on the dashboard prior to start.
2- does it start? If not the alternator could be affected and not charging battery.

Tune up, EGR valve dirty, collant temp sensor bad, IAC dirty.

Do you mean it is shifting poorly/slipping, or are you wanting harder shifts than stock? If shifting poorly, when did you last replace trans fluid and filter?

Put headlights on and turn over engine! If lights dim and car won't start probably battery bad!

Check the compression on the cylinders.

Can someone email this diagram to me I need it as well. We have a 1991 Nissan Hardbody we are putting back in today.

Have you tried banging on the hood near the cowl or windshield, while pulling the hood latch, to see if it pops open? If the cable is stretched or broken, you may have to get to the latch from underneath, and pry the latch with a small screwdriver-the cable will attach to a lever that pulls towards the driver's side to open the latch. Sometimes you may need to take off the grill (if able to with the hood closed), and then you can get to the latch with your hand.

It is one of 2 things. Frist get undernesath the truck with a hammer and on the pass side you will be able to see the starter have someone hold the key in the crank postion and bang on the starter if that works then you need a starter. If not then check the big blue relay on the pass side fender wall in the engine compartment. It will look diffrent then any other relay becaus eit is a double connector and it is blue. You can not miss it.

Replace the wires to the fuel pump.

Have your checked the front bearings?

before u replace the starter check the main wire from battery to starter. take it off the starter clean it with sandpaper and put it back on. sometimes this will solve the problem.
