Hi. The front brakes on my 1991 nissan maxima are
Even on a short drive the brakes will get pretty hot! As for the pads being to close... thats actually ok. Are they glowing red hot? You may want to take the brakes off and see if they were installed correctly....With that said most brakes can only be installed one way. You may have a sticky piston in the caliper or calipers.... That may be the issue. Also as Im not aware of your driving style or habits. Are you riding the brakes or hitting them hard? Hope this helps!
Not Starting
This is gonna be a lenghty diagonsis. Forget about the check engine light for a moment. What do we have : a)Crank no start, b)No crank , c)Starter clicks,d) no clicking . How many miles does the vehicle have? How old is the battery? What condition are the battery cables and starter wires in? The relay, can you find it ? If you can how does its terminals look? Last the ignition switch. Usually this is the culprit with high milage vehicles especially if the key chain the vehicle's key is on looks like that of a jailer's. As you answer all of these questions you will get more clues to the answer . Need the answers to the questions to give you the correct testing procedures. keep me posted we'll get to the bottom of it.
CAR AUTO WINDOW PROBLEM
Check for power at the window control switch. If a-ok. Then check the relay. If everything is a-ok you basically need a new switch/ controller aka switch.
My nissan bluebird driver side automatic window
Ok ,start by looking in the door opening. look at the acordion style conduit, you will need a test light for this ,pull back the rubber and with the ignition on start probing the wires inside of it.
I'am thinking ,broken wires
Car hesitating and jurking
Try inspecting your spark plugs, if you got water in spark plug compartments clean and dry it out, if not try inspecting your spark plugs and spark plug wires.
My 1991 Nissan Maxima won't start. When I depress
Probably a bad starter or battery. Is battery old? Any corrosion?
Tap on the starter - then try and start the car. To find the starter follow the big cable from the positive/red terminal on your battery to the starter.
No heat
There are several reasons for no heat. 1st, how is the temp gauge in the car? Is it in the normal range, or is it running cold or hot after warming up? How long does it take to warm up? 1st check the coolant level, make sure it is at the correct level, bleed system to remove any air (bleeder bolt usually located near the thermostat housing.) If that checks out ok, and the engine is not warming up, change the thermostat. If you still have a problem, the heater core may be plugged up with rust and sediment. Flushing the system may help to restore the flow of coolant to get the heat going again. Worst case scenario, system plugged beyond flushing out the crud, heater core would have to be replaced. Start with the easy stuff 1st, hopefully that will work. Good luck
My daughter has Maxima 1991 with 205 60/16R tires.
It depends on the tire manufacturer. Generally speaking for standard tires and standard driving style I would keep the pressure somewhere in between 30-32. Try to balance similar pressure between tires to equilibrate driving.
Do not go crazy with that, current wheater and long driving will modify the current pressure in the tires. Just try to avoid significant deviations to specs.
Hope it will help

Ignition switch is okay, have
Hi,
The two reasons for jump start are a bad ignition switch or a Bad Starter Connection. But since you say that the ignition switch is fine let’s concentrate on starter connection. Corrosion can not only keep your battery from connecting, it can affect any electrical component, especially the ones exposed to the elements like the starter. If you have a helper, you can test the connection by holding a circuit tester lead on the wire that engages the starter. This is the smaller of the two wires connected to the starter. Be sure no part of your body is near the moving parts of the engine - it could still start at any time! Have a friend turn the key and check the current. If you're getting current to the starter but it aren’t spinning, it needs replacement.
Let us know if you need further clarification.
Thanks
I HAVE A 91 NISSAN MAXIMA. THE CAR WONT START
there might be a problem in your fuel line. try buying a can of sea foam [Red and white bottle.Available at any auto place. Around $9]. pouring about half in the tank and the other half thru a line in your brake booster or another vacuum line. the line will be under the hood to the very top right. it should be black, round, and two lines coming out of it. do this with the car running so maybe have someone else hold the gas to about 1500 RPM. Slowly drip the sea foam in until it almost dies then put your thumb on the line to keep it running. keep doing that until the can is almost or fully empty. Let the car sit for about 5 mionutes then start the car and keep the RPMs to about 2 grand. There will be smoke fromt the exhaust SO DONT WORRY! Just keep on the gas until the smokes clears. If that doesnt help let me know!
1991 nissan maxima, no heat. blows out cold air
check the antifreeze level as well you may have a clogged heater-core if one hose is hot and the other cold then it is in need of being flushed out you can do it yourself by removing both ends from the water pump and a garden-hose and slowly push the clog -out then replace hoses and secure clamps .....also recheck fluid and fill as necessary
