You could be correct, if the starter solenoid is bad and not making contact it will kill the entire electrical system and also not engage the starter motor. I would replace the solenoid. Please rate this answer, thanks.
My right hand headlight is shorting out and melted
if the connector with the wires is what melted, you can get a new conenctor with wires to splice in from Nissan for about $25 or so.I would replace the headlamp bulb, connector and the clip that hold sit in if it is melted too. none are expensive parts.
The 4x4 light doesnt come
I would check the wiring harness near the firewall for a loose or disconnected plug. The some people that had a similar problem had a plug that wasn't seated.
Did you try engaging 4x4 before or after you were stuck? The 4 wheel
drive does not engage with a simple flip of the switch, you have move
(rolling) a short distance for full engagement (allows the gears to be
fully meshed together). If you are already stuck, the 4 wheel drive
light will come on (shows switch is on), but the gears will not fully
mesh. The advers is if you switch to 4 wheel drive while moving and you
do not get 4 wheel drive, then you may have an issue with the trasfer
case engaging mechanism and should take it to the dealer for
diagnostics.
Hope helps.
I have a 5 speed and need to know how hard it is
Repair Kit?What are you trying to fix?A basic transmission kit will only come with bearings , gaskets.seals and brass syncro rings. You will need some special tools (press, gear and bearing pullers, snap ring pliers) and some skilled knowledge to install these parts.I can rebuild one of these transmissions in a few hours and i have been doing it for a long time.I dont recomend you try this at home unless you are the kind of guy that could remove his own appendix.(ouch!)Good luck and let me know if you are brave and want some help ( I will walk you through it).Have a great day!
Carburettors nissan king cab 1991
The goal of a carburetor is to mix just the right amount of gasoline with air so that the engine runs properly. If there is not enough fuel mixed with the air, the engine "runs lean" and either will not run or potentially damages the engine. If there is too much fuel mixed with the air, the engine "runs rich" and either will not run (it floods), runs very smoky, runs poorly (bogs down, stalls easily), or at the very least wastes fuel. The carb is in charge of getting the mixture just right.

The starter solenoid is staying engaged, change that and it should cure the problem. My 85 ford did the same thing, put a new solenoid on it,solved problem.
