The cable has probably become tight and over-stressed the lever. Often it is possible to remove enough interior to expose the end of the cable sufficient to grip it with pliers or vise grips. An assistant alternately pressing on the bonnet and releasing will reduce the pressure needed to pull the cable. Opening the bonnet otherwise is very difficult and will require some of the skills of a car thief and specific model knowledge.

All it takes is money and a good frame shop. Anything can be done if you are willing to pay for it.

Youtube have some good videos on this but its easy to do only 1 nut either end the ones in the boot move the bits of trim aside there at the top of the innervwheel arch

Have you done wiring before it is possible but it will take ages to do unwrapping the harness away from the other wires uncrimping conection soldering ect

1st you need to try using the spare key to eliminate a key not communicating properly with the 'electronic ignition switch'. the end of the key has little red window on it that needs to be clean. these keys send a lot of data thru to that iginiotn switch which is a major part of the anti-theft system in your car.

Usually the switch is bad on this year and model. Be sure to check fuse first of all.

The relay is under the rear seat cushion next to the battery. Should be the first position. The fuse that supplies the circuit 30 power to the relay is a 25 amp fuse #6 in the trunk. I hope that helps you with your diagnosis.

Make sure you have good batteries in your key fob. Also, there is a trunk, lock, and unlock relay. If anyone of those are bad you can have this problem.

If its a Alpine cd changer it is very common and normally only last a year or so. it can be repaired fairly cheaply as it is only a little motor inside that goes.

I had a problem with an old car one time where the blinker lever thing would turn on only to one position and not either return to neutral(off) or turn to opposite way. I was told to take off the steering wheel (mark alignment notches on shaft and steering wheel thing that goes on shaft)and look at the turn signal mechanism inside to see what makes it go off:found a broken "turn off" piece of plastic that sticks out to make signal go off when you turn the wheel the opposite way or for when you turn the lever/signal to neutral/off position. It was hell remembering how I took things off;I took a picture before and during the surgery...ha,ha. Good luck!!
