i would jack car up ,,,take safety precautions and just follow the fuel lines from the tank to the motor you gonna run into it

There could be a vacuum leak. All vacuum hoses should be inspected and replaced as necessary. The computer does control timing but can be manually set. This could be an issue, or even someone messing with the CO adjustnment through the Mass Air Flow sensor. This is a very sensitive adjustment and should be performed by someone who knows how to do it. Another place to get a vacuum leak that is common is under the upper plenum(intake). I want reset my radio
if you look in your owner hand manual for the radio you will see the code on the back page. and the instructions on reset the lock. if you do not have the book. then you can get the code from any mb dealer if you can prove you are the owner.
Does the e400 mecedes require
What year is your car? And the very first 4 digits of your vin number (if possible, it will tell me what body style the car is)?
Heater stopped working - have
if the blower fan working and A/C working fine, only the heater not working possibly faulty heating water recirculation pump check the pump.

in your car have 4 oxygen sensors two for each bank exhaust manifold, one is before the catalytic converters and other other two on the catalytic converters.
