Temperature gauge in nissan frontier goes from medium to low randomly, also off and on roaring sound coming from what seems to be the fan while running.

This is an indication of air or gas bubbles in the cooling system, it can be that the system is low on coolant due to a leak (have a cooling system pressure test performed) or that you have a leaking engine cylinder head gasket. I would also replace the thermostat just to rule it out as a cause, it could be sticking and causing the rapid swings in engine temperature.

Stolen emission part

Somebody stole your cat, it was a big problem last year because they were worth more to the scrap dealers. They have dropped in value a little, but when you consider the elements they contain are worth over a thousand dollars an ounce, you can see why they are a target. You will probably get the best deal by taking the vehicle to a muffler shop to have an aftermarket cat welded in. The cost should be about $250. To have a new factory cat put back in, the cost could go over a thousand dollars. Some insurance companies will cover this loss.

NOTE: When removing water pump assembly, be careful not to get coolant on timing belt unless you intend to replace it. (if it has more than 60.000 miles. it probably SHOULD be replaced, however, you must do it correctly or severe engine damage will occur.)Drain coolant from drain plugs on both sides of cylinder block and radiator. Remove radiator hoses (upper and lower) and fan shroud. Remove drive belts. Remove water pump pulley. Remove crankshaft pulley and front (upper and lower) belt cover. Remove water pump

Hello,

first, to get the code in order to read the problem, you need a OBD2. Below is an image of what the OBD2 looks like:

Knock sensor code just came

Since the code came up since adding the octane booster, I would say that is the problem. If you don't hear a knock coming from your engine, wait until you are at about a 1/4 of a tank and fill it up. This problem should go away on it's own. I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/jeremy_69f3cc28d95bf514

My horn will not work. I am going to change the

No, the airbag has separate connectors so it's not related to your problem directly.
Yes, the airbag will have to come off if you want to inspect the horn contact - basically some prongs on the base of the airbag module that touch the frame of the steering wheel. This is the official procedure, follow it to the letter:
1. Disconnect both the negative and positive battery cables, then wait at least 5 minutes.
2. Locate retaining clip access hole and insert suitable 4mm - 6mm blunt tool.

CAUTION:
Do not use sharp edged objects such as screwdrivers to release driver air bag module from steering wheel, SRS components may be unintentionally damaged.

3. Press upward (toward center of steering wheel) on retaining clip until driver air bag module is released from steering wheel.
4. Lift the driver air bag module from the steering wheel.
5. Disconnect the driver airbag module and horn connectors, then remove the driver air bag module.
