Hi and welcome!
As a first course of action I strongly suggest that you check the transmission fluid. If it's burnt please have it replaced. If the fluid looks fine then the problem will surely be on the torque converter. The torque converter controls the shifting of the car. Once replaced, a smooth ride and shifting will be noticeable.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

2004 mercedes clk reads coolant visit workshop.
It could be either the left front fuse and relay box, left front sam or the engine control module. Basically it's in a safety mode right now because the engine control module is not getting the coolant temp. The early clk's had this problem when they came out with the new body style. Was a common problem for awhile.

What is the most common cause of no-spark in the
SORRY BUTTHERE IS NO COMMON CAUSE FOR THIS CAR, IN FACT IT IS VERY RARE TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM, WHAT U NEED TO DO IS HAVE THE PCM (POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE) TESTED FOR ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROL FAULT CODES, THE NO SPARK CONDITION WILL SET A FAULT CODE THAT WILL LEAD U TO THE DEFECTIVE PART, THAT CAN BE THE IGNITION CONTROL MODULE, THE WIRING TO THE SYSTEM OR OTHER ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS LIKE THE CAMSHAFT OR CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSORS, ALL THESE PARTS ARE VERY EXPENSIVE AND GUESSING IS VERY EXPENSIVE AND MOST TIMES ENDS UP WITH YOUR MONEY IN THE PARTS STORES POCKET AND U WITHOUT A WORKING CAR, HAVE THE FAULT CODE TEST RUN, IT CAN BE RUN FOR FREE BY KRAGEN AUTO OR AUTOZONE PARTS IF YOU CAN GET IT THERE OR YOU CAN BUY A CHEAP OBD 2 SYSTEM SCANNER AND RETRIEVE THE FAULT CODES YOURSELF, THE MOST BASIC CODE READERS RUN ABOUT $40 AND CAN BE HAD AT THE ABOVE PARTS STORES.

Petrol in diesel clk 220 cdi
DO not start vehicle and contact a roadside assistance company. If you want to tackle it yourself your not acting in your best interest,.Firstly you are stuck at filling station , recovery vehicle costs ,fuel drainage and disposal of same ( enviomently friendly ) replacement filters , refill of fuel .. My advice is think of the long term , take it on the chin and hand it over to a dealership / garage.

Where is the oil dipstick on a 2004 mercedes clk
Tina, you have a very good question, as you will see by my answer: To check engine oil:park car on a level surface, car should be at normal operating temp (been driven for 20 minutes or more), car should be stationary (engine off) for at least 5 minutes. Turn smart key on move to position 2 or press 'keyless go' start/stop button once. The standard display should appear on the multi-function display. Press arrow up or down buttons on the steering wheel until you get the message 'engine oil level'. It will then display if the level is correct, or if you need to add some. Holy c__p, in their quest to make this 'simple', they have failed miserably. At least you won't get your hands dirty. Check for a comment to come shortly. Curt

My 2004 E500 will crank but not start, it wont
Not getting any fuel yeah that's one thing and really the first thing to check. Although, with Mercedes ( and almost all newer cars ) they make things so hard to get to, and in some cases even find! I would check the fuel filter first and replace it. After that it may be the fuel pump. Hope it helps! Taking it to the dealer would be costly to say the LEAST. Maybe a reputable shadetree mechanic if you know one.
