Loud grinding noise front end while driving. Hub bearing?

Probably so. When making a left hand turn, if the noise gets loader, it is the right side bearing. IE... putting more wieght on that side of the car.

Turn off airbag

I don't think you can turn off the passenger side since you have a back seat. The main purpose of being able to turn the passenger side off is when you are using a car seat.If you can turn it off, there should be a switch on the dash and the instructions would be in your owners manual.

Piston slap

I think my friend, you should look towards getting your engine replaced. If you hear like a clicking or clunk noise while you drive, the internals of your engine are worn out and hitting against each other. Your options are:1. Scrap car or sell it2. Swap engine for a new one3. Get the engine reconditioned

How do i disconnect the on star unit in my 2003 avalanche

If you go to the fuse block in the engine compartment, behind the battery, there is a large fuse block. In the lower right corner there is a 15A fuse referred to as "info". Pull it and On Star is off the grid.
