Change brake light switch

Brake light checkout: The brake light switch is on the brake pedal arm. You can adjust it or replace it. Usually the problem is a rubber stop falls out and the switch end goes into the hole and never actuates. Look around there and check that area out. Hope this helps.

How to remove the steering wheel for replacement

SIR DISABLE: DRIVER SIDE Many service procedures require the air bag system to be disabled to prevent accidental deployment. The air bag system can maintain sufficient voltage to cause deployment for up to 2 minutes after the ignition switch is turned off, the battery ground cable is disconnected or the DERM fuse is removed. If the inflator module is disconnected from the deployment loop by the following procedure, service can begin immediately without waiting for the 2 minute time period to elapse.
  1. Turn steering wheel so that vehicle wheels are pointed straight ahead.
  2. Turn ignition switch to Lock position and remove key.
  3. Remove air bag fuse from fuse block.
  4. Remove steering column filler panel.
  5. Remove Connector Position Assurance (CPA) and disconnect yellow two-way connector at base of steering column, Fig. 1.
PASSENGER SIDE
  1. Remove air bag fuse from fuse block.
SIR ENABLE: Driver Side
  1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK and remove key.
  2. Connect yellow two-way connector and install connector position assurance (CPA).
  3. Install steering column filler panel.
  4. Insert air bag fuse into fuse block.
  5. Turn ignition switch to RUN and verify that the air bag warning lamp flashes seven times then turns off.
Passenger Side
  1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK and remove key.
  2. Insert air bag fuse into fuse block.

The website has software that looks for obscene words.I would think a compression test would show if the cylinder is having mechanical problems. And yes the intake or head gasket could be leaking again, especially if the intake or head were warped or cracked.Have you checked fuel pressure ?Does the spark plug for cylinder 5 show signs of coolant leaking into the cylinder ?

2002 chevy express van 5.7 v8 error code PO154

That is a low signal error from the right bank upstream oxygen sensor. In most cases, it is caused by a weak oxygen sensor. Before replacing the oxygen sensor, double check fuel pressure, volume and quality. A low signal from the oxygen sensor can also be caused by a lean fuel condition.

How to open a stuck door on 96 chevy 1500

A mechanics worst nightmare. You have to somehow remove the door trim on the inside to get to the latch and lock mechanisms to release them manually to open the door. Hard to explain but thats basically the idea. Keep in mind that there are probably plenty of replacement door trims in the junkyard so don't be afraid to damage the one you have to gain access.

Truck wont crank. we have

you said you repl dist cap that means you don't have a crank sensor you have electronic ing module. remove your elec ing module have it tested most auto parts stores could test your module, or check your coil at the neg terminal. should have power. if not you lost your primary volt from your batt.your secondary power is coming from your electronic ing module from the module to the pos terminal on the coil, when the eng cranks, from the coil to the dist cap , from the dist cap center to the rotor then out to the plugs, this all happen pervided the timing belt or timing chain is ok. the cumbustion chainber needs 3 things , thats fuel, air, and spark.

I have a 1996 chevy z71 5.7 vortec. we replace the motor with a new long block. all we had to do is put the intake on it. replaced the rotor and the pick up coil. checked fuel and getting fuel from th

I believe I have answered this at least twice already. The pick-up coil is what tells the ECU to fire the injectors. If the ECU is not getting the signal then either the pick-up coil is no good, not getting power, or not properly grounded. The same for the ECU....it must get power, the signal from the pick-up coil, and a ground.

Can put hand over fuel injection and will start and run but when hand is removed it dies.

You have a vacuum leak, a broken hose or intake gasket. It is a fairly large leak too.
