the problen is probably the turn signal switch with a test light check for power at brake switch if no power check for power at turn signal switch the brake lights are incorperated through the turn signal switch

You need to attach the blue wire on the stereo harness to the blue and white wire on the car adapter harness. they installed a small amplifier to power the rear door speakers and unless you connect those two wires then the speakers will not work.

Ok, Disconnect it from the Tranny First. This will make it easier to Fish Through. Connect the New Cable on the Tranny. Follow where the Old one Goes with the New one, Removing the Old one as you go. It will enter the Cab and work it's way up to the Sterring Column. You will Need to remove the Dash Panel to Access the Cable on the Shifter, It just Pulls Loose. Try this,on the front axle there is an actuator for the 4x4,unplug it and try to engage 4x4 with it unplugged,if the fuse doesn't blow,actuator is bad.
Also look at the wires going to the actuator they get damaged from brush and things.

Below is a picture for you and there is also a second ground dealing with thestoplamps that will be located in the right hand door piller. Rear door if it's a 4 door. I hope this helps and good luck.

The rough running is the cause of the voltage gauge movement.. As the engine speed increases and decreases the voltage output of the alternator goes up and down. So the gauge is a symptom not a problem.

There are two motor controlled doors that control air flow for your heating/cooling system. These doors are located in the A/C ductwork under the right side of the dash. When you turn off the ignition, the doors close through the action of the small electric motor and gears is an attached control box. The knocking sound that you hear is a gear slipping in the control box as the control motor continues to run after the air door has been closed. I have no idea why the door motor continues to run. The solution for me with my 94 burb was to disconnect the electrical lead to the control box. If you have lots of patience and very small hands you may be able to replace the offending module. However the root cause seems to be the door motor continuing to run.

It could be a short in the instrument cluster-maybe one of the non-working gauges. You could pull the cluster out and try to find it, or just try another cluster from a salvage yard.
