I have a 1994 chevy suburban with absolutely no working signal lights- front, sides, rear or inside. There are also no side brake lights. The back brake lights work, but not the ones on the side. All fuses are good except there's no power to the 'pnl' fuse (5amp). All bulbs are good.
the problen is probably the turn signal switch with a test light check for power at brake switch if no power check for power at turn signal switch the brake lights are incorperated through the turn signal switch

how do you make the rear door speakers work with an aftermarket radio in a 94 chevy suburban
You need to attach the blue wire on the stereo harness to the blue and white wire on the car adapter harness. they installed a small amplifier to power the rear door speakers and unless you connect those two wires then the speakers will not work.

How hard is it to replace a shifter cable in a 1998 chevy suburban checked it and both ends are still attached so it broke somewhere in the middle????
Ok, Disconnect it from the Tranny First. This will make it easier to Fish Through. Connect the New Cable on the Tranny. Follow where the Old one Goes with the New one, Removing the Old one as you go. It will enter the Cab and work it's way up to the Sterring Column. You will Need to remove the Dash Panel to Access the Cable on the Shifter, It just Pulls Loose. You are at the Hardest Part of this at this Point. Let me know if you cannot access the Shifter From this Point. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

my 4x4 fuse keeps blowing. I put in a new one, shift into 4 wheel drive and it blows. Is it a short or could my 4 wheel drive be out. It is a 1994 chevy suburan.
Try this,on the front axle there is an actuator for the 4x4,unplug it and try to engage 4x4 with it unplugged,if the fuse doesn't blow, actuator is bad.
Also look at the wires going to the actuator they get damaged from brush and things.

when at a stop the truck engine runs rough.also noticed voltage gauge fluctuates like 1 volt
The rough running is the cause of the voltage gauge movement.. As the engine speed increases and decreases the voltage output of the alternator goes up and down. So the gauge is a symptom not a problem.

knocking noise coming from underneath passenger side dash when starting and turning off vehicle. what causes that?
There are two motor controlled doors that control air flow for your heating/cooling system. These doors are located in the A/C ductwork under the right side of the dash. When you turn off the ignition, the doors close through the action of the small electric motor and gears is an attached control box. The knocking sound that you hear is a gear slipping in the control box as the control motor continues to run after the air door has been closed. I have no idea why the door motor continues to run. The solution for me with my 94 burb was to disconnect the electrical lead to the control box. If you have lots of patience and very small hands you may be able to replace the offending module. However the root cause seems to be the door motor continuing to run.

I have a 1986 chevy truck, the gauge/idle fuse blowes when you turn the key. The gas gauge and other gauges dont work but runs good. Any suggestions
It could be a short in the instrument cluster-maybe one of the non-working gauges. You could pull the cluster out and try to find it, or just try another cluster from a salvage yard.

fuel pump not coming on no fuel to engine need to know relay location
buy a haynes manual at a partstore--chec fuses 1st as well as wiring-may also be a module issue--on older cars the computer plug may be dirty-disconnect and clean the pins
