Heater core
Has the car overheted ? If so did you install the thermostat ? Check the coolant level. Low coolant level causes the car heater to not work. Also always bleed the cooling system everytime you add coolant when doing work on a car's engine. They have a bleeding screw near the thermostat housing or on the housing itself. After getting the engine to operating temperature, turn that little screw counter clockwise. This will release the pressure in the cooling system. Keep it open until only coolant comes out. If you cannot find a bleeding screw, do not open the radiator cap. But slowly turn the cap until you hear the coolant start flowing into the coolant reservoir .
Heater blows but no heat
first check to see if the coolant is full if it is. it could be one of three things. 1st check to see if the temp is getting hot by looking at your temp gauge if it is i would start by replacing the thermostat. thermostat is the most common problem with heat loss. next it may be your radiator is plugged up or a plugged heater core.
I have a 1996 Olds Cutlass Supreme with the 3.1 V6
In the past i have had these act like this when the cam sensor pick up magnet falls out of the cam sprocket. You can pull the cam sensor and bump the engine over untill you can see if the magnet is still in place. This will require a mirror and a flashlight to see inside the timing cover through the cam sensor hole.
How do you check transmission fluid level
With the car on level ground, in park and engine running. Just pull out the trans dipstick. It will be marked low and high, Ususally its .5 qt between marks. As long as its between the marks, all is OK.
Turn signal not working
